Since 2015, I have served as the Development Coordinator of the AAO-HNS foundation. It has been my honor to

contribute to the specialty through volunteer activities and charitable gifts.

I am a Lifetime Donor to the foundation. This has allowed me to give back to the specialty in recognition of all that it

has given to me and the many wonderful physician volunteers and Academy staff I have met throughout the years. My

contributions to the foundation have helped support the AAO-HNS/F mission in areas particularly important to me

including continuing education, research and quality, and grants for residents and young physicians.

In 2017, I established the Eisenberg Leadership Health Policy Travel Grant fund to encourage residents and fellows-in-

training to become engaged in the Academy early in their careers. The fund supports three annual travel grants to attend

the Spring Leadership Forum and it is my hope that it sets an example of philanthropic giving that others will follow.

Throughout my career, I have enjoyed the interaction with my patients and striving to improve their health. I have known

many of my patients for years and enjoyed sharing personal experiences that have made for a better physician-patient

relationship. Many of my patients are children and I have seen them grow up, and often then see their children as patients.

As one can imagine, this is also a very rewarding experience. Being Development Coordinator has given me an opportunity

to meet new people, interact with new colleagues, extol the virtues of becoming a donor, and share the rewards that the

specialty has given to me over the years.

Thank you to all of you who have donated to the AAO-HNS foundation over the years. Your financial support is greatly
