TH Profiles, HEB Profiles, and UNP Profiles are successfully used as passive ground control elements in underground construction.

Although the importance of conventional steel support has recently decreased, it is still successfully used in deep-level underground coal mining as well as for special supporting constructions in Tunneling and cavern construction.

Rock bolt straps and mats are used in combination with rock bolts for securing the excavation surface. In hard rock Mining, rock bolt straps are preferably used, whereas soft rock and coal Mining prefer flexible rock bolt mats or mesh.
