Bespoke Shapes AvailableWe’ve recently invested in an in-house bending faciltiy with 3D cameras enabling us to make beautiful and next to fault-less arches.
Weld OptionsQuickslide are proud to offer the only seamlessly welded sliding sash window in the country. This revolutionary process now disguises the 45-degree corner welds on the outer frame and sashes to give the overall product a far superior aesthetic finish.
Available on wood-grain windows only and a minimum window size of 475mm wide x 900mm high.
Seamless Standard
Colour OptionsOur PVCu Sliding Sash Windows are available in a variety of standard wood-grain colours. We also offer an ‘any colour’ option; have your new windows colour-bonded in your choice of colour from ranges such as RAL, Dulux and Farrow & Ball.

FinishChoose between woodgrain replicating traditional timber windows or a standard smooth finish.
Woodgrain Smooth
Sash HornsWe offer two different sash horns; the run-through and the plant-on. The run-through utilises mechanical joints rather than welded to allow the horn to be a continuous part of the sash giving the window a more authentic overall look. The plant-on is a sculpted horn that sits underneath the top sash.
Run-through Plant-on None
D-Handle*Designed to be fitted to either the top rail of the top sash or to the underside of the top sash on the outside of the window.
D-Handle
Bottom Rail OptionsChoose a deep bottom rail if you you want your sliding sash windows to look as close to the original timber version as possible. The larger bottom rail sash convincingly mimics the timber sash windows of old. The deep bottom rail is available with welded or mechanical joints.

Bar Options (also external)Choose an astragal bar design to give the effect of individual panes of glass like you would see on a traditional timber window. This method is solely aesthetic and is much more energy efficient than a window with multiple panes of glass due to air leakage. ‘Internal fret’ is another type of glazing method used to give an authentic look to the windows. This bar is located inside the glass unit only with no surface mounted elements.

Travel Restrictors*Limits the opening of the top and bottom sashes to 100mm. Primarily used as a safety feature to prevent access from inside or outside the window without first disengaging the restrictor.
The sashes can still be tilted inwards whilst the sash restrictors are active. If emergency access is required, the restrictors work on a magnet and can therefore be deactivated by simply pushing them closed.
Pole Eye*Primarily designed to be fitted to the top rail of the top sash. Enables use of a pole with hook (not supplied) to operate windows that are positioned too high to operate by hand.

Glazing OptionsA+ Rated (Argon Filled)An upgrade to our standard glass unit specification, argon gas increases the overall thermal performance of the window.
Toughened GlassTempered or toughened glass is a type of safety glass treated to increase its strength compared to normal glass. Toughened glass is required where windows are located less than 800mm from the internal floor level.
Laminated GlassLaminated glass is a type of safety/security glass that holds together when shattered. In the event of breaking, it is held in placed by an interlayer between its two layers of glass. The 6.8mm Optiphon laminated glass used in our windows is a high-quality acoustic glass that offers excellent noise reduction without compromising on light transmittance or impact performance.
Obscure GlassTypically utilised in bathrooms, shower rooms and other private areas our sliding sash windows can be specified with a variety of different glass patterns and obscurity levels to suit your needs.

Frame ExtendersAvailable in both 30mm and 50mm, frame extenders can be applied to the top and sides of the sash window outer frame.
CouplersWindows over 1500mm wide, would generally be manufactured as 2 or more windows joined together using our 30mm aluminium coupler.
The windows will be supplied fully constructed on a continuous sill with the couplers already in place so there will be no assembly required on site, unless the completed item is over 3000mm wide in which case the windows will be supplied individually with the couplers separate and a separate continuous sill.
ExtrasTrickle VentsLocated in the top rail of the top sash, trickle vents aid in the circulation of fresh and aid in mitigating issues associated with poor ventilation including condensation.
Trickle vents will be required if:• Your project is subject to Building Regulations.• If the windows/doors you are removing already have trickle vents fitted.
Quick Release Tilt ArmsAn optional item that offers the user a quick and easy method to removing the top and bottom sashes without the need to remove any screws. This is particularly useful to reduce the weight of the window prior to installation.
Secured by Design‘Secured By Design’ focuses on crime prevention of homes and commercial premises and promotes the use of security standards for a wide range of applications and products. In terms of sliding sash windows, this product will carry the PAS24 security upgrade and will also have 6.8mm acoustic/laminated glass applied as standard.

PAS24 Security UpgradePAS24:2016 is a Product Assessment Specification and a primary reference in the Building Regulations Approved Document Q. This enhanced security specification includes;• Upgraded hardware and keeps• Top sash lateral force restrictors
Sill OptionsSash windows can be specified with a variety of sills. It would typically be the responsibility of your surveyor/installer to detail what sill you will need. This will be based primarily on what the window is going fitted on to whether that be and existing sill like stone or concrete or direct on to brickwork.
150mm sill with up-stand – used on about 70% of all sash windows we make. Typically used when the window is being fitted on to some form of existing sill like stone or concrete. This sill is a different design to the other 3 and cannot be swapped over.
150mm sill without up-stand – an alternative option to the ‘up-stand’ version of the sill. This offers a projection of 15mm from the outside face of the outer frame.
180mm sill without up-stand – This sill offers a projection of 45mm from the outside face of the outer frame. Typically used when the window is located directly on brickwork.
225mm sill without up-stand – This sill offers a projection of 90mm from the outside face of the outer frame. Typically used when the window is located directly on brickwork.

Fire EscapeThis option is required if your windows are subject to Building Regulations. To conform with Document B of the Building Regulations, you must have at least one escape window per bedroom which must meet a minimum ‘clear opening’.
This facility works by tilting the bottom sash inward and then sliding the bottom sash upward whilst it’s in its tilted state. This gives the window a larger ‘clear opening’. If you are unsure if your windows will comply or not, please just stipulate which windows need to be fire escapes and we’ll do the work for you.
