OVERVIEW

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

TARGET AUDIENCE

• Plant managers • Plant designers• Process/Utility engineers • Process technologists• University lecturers • Plant supervisors• Researchers • Postgraduate students

Malaysia’s rapidly growing position in agro-industries over the last few years had opened many opportu-nity windows for the logistics market. This fast-paced growth of the industrial sector, coupled with the more sturdy progress of the biomass process sector, has necessitated extensive supply chains across the country to facilitate sourcing and distribution of production. A supply chain is an integration system of organisations, people, technology, activities, information and resources involved in moving a product from supplier to customer. This workshop will focus on biomass supply chain activities that transform biomass and organic resources from raw materials into a finished product that is delivered to the end customer. The concept of green materials and waste-to-wealth will be highlighted in the supply chain system. The workshop intends to assemble a network of today’s best thinkers, visionaries and thought leaders from across key industry sectors for the specific and definite purpose of developing future supply chain strategies. The speakers will facilitate the participants to ideate and evaluate the best pos-sible methods and practices through workshops, breakout sessions and panel discussions to develop practical, feasible and sustainable supply chain models essential for organisations.
