AS Fire & Safety Ladders

AS Fire & Safety manufacture world class heavy-dutyfire ladders and equipment. With over 30 years ofexperience, we provide our customers with expertlymade products which are specifically designed toexceed the high expectations of professional fire andrescue services in the UK and worldwide.

We produce a range of single, double and tripleextension and roof ladders. All models are available in avariety of extendable lengths and widths, these can bedesigned to meet specific customer requirements.

All models are manufactured to EN 1147:2010 standard.

Ladder Gantries

We produce a wide range ofspecialised ladder stowagesystems which have been engineeredto ensure ease of use and the safety ofthe operator.

Our traditional gantry packageshave been the industry standard in theUK for thirty five years and we continueto supply vehicle manufacturers aroundthe world.

Their unique design method enablesthem to be configured in a number ofways in order to meet the mostdemanding operational requirements.

Our versatile beam gantry also enablesground level access to equipmentstored in hard to reach areas.

Shutters

Our product portfolio also consists ofspecialised mechanical roller shutters andincludes extreme environment models for theaviation and petrochemical industries aswell as the emergency services and themilitary.

Our unique locking system provides rapidsingle-handed access via a full width externallatch and our patented flexible hinge doorscome with an anodised finish. All shuttershave been fully protected with multi-dimensional weather seals and can besupplied in a variety of colours.

Ladder Maintenance and Testing Training

Supply+ offers Comprehensive, Refresher andVisual Inspections training courses designed tomeet the needs of both workshop and supervisorypersonnel.

We also provide a range of bespoke trainingcourses tailored specifically to our client’srequirements which can be conducted at eitheryour premises or at our own headquarters inCambridgeshire.

Comprehensive - Four day course

This extensive four-day training course is intended forboth maintenance staff and their managers who aretraining for the first time. This course is also intendedfor personnel who have been trained previously, buthave exceeded the three year refresher trainingrecommendation.

Refresher - Two day course

This two day refresher training course is intendedfor both maintenance staff and their managers whohave received training within the last three years.

Visual Inspection - Four hour course

Supply+ provides a ComprehensiveVisual Inspection Training course designedto meet the needs of Fire Fighters, Trainers,Work shop and Supervisory Personnel tocarry out a visual inspection of a ladderfollowing operational use.

Please note this course does not coverrepair or deflection testing.

Upon completion of all of our courses, delegates are issuedwith a certificate of competence.

The Bayley brand, with swaged rung construction, offers a costeffective solution for smaller ladders with a heritage in the fire

industry dating back to the late 1700’s.

Bayley Ladders

Bayley ladders comply with the EN 1147:2010standard. Our range includes models from1.8m up to 10.5m models in one, two andthree section configurations. The swagedrung and box section construction createsa robust and durable ladder which is strongenough to withstand even the most testingconditions.

We also have a complete range of securityand police force models. Our Method of Entry,multi-role and nautical variations form just asmall part of the specialist Bayley police andmilitary range.

Bayley Ladders were one of the originaldesigners of the wheeled escape ladderdating back to 1797.

The innovative Stowaway Folding Ladder, developedfrom the highly regarded range of Bayley roof ladders,is a reliable and versatile model which can be used in anumber of ways.

It can be stored easily in the boot of a car or in thestowage compartment of an emergency vehicle.

It has three adjustable lengths, two different widths andis available in an aluminium or matt black powder coatfinish together with a range of military colours.

The standard 3.7m model has a variety of operationalaccessories including abseil brackets, fast roping kitsand dog rungs.

Collins Youldon hose reels have beenmanufactured for over thirty five years.Through in-depth research andlong-term product development,we now have a diverserange of equipmentwhich is specificallydesigned for the firefighting and domesticfuel delivery markets.

Hose Reels

We design, manufacture and supply fivebasic types of reel: the Low line, Fire,Compact, Standard and High Capacitymodels. All models come in differentdimensions to suit specific operationalduties and can be supplied with fluidpaths ranging from an internaldiameter of 19mm up to 50mm.We produce manual,electric, pneumatic andhydraulic rewind optionsas well as a unique rangeof additional features,Specialised mounting kitsand accessories to ensureour products perform at thehighest possible standard.

Electric Rewind

Electric rewind hose reels aresuitable for road vehicles andother applications where a DCelectrical supply is available.They feature a powerful motorand a centrifugal clutch, both ofwhich have been engineered tomaintain operational duties andthe safety of the user. To make iteasier for the user to deploy thehose, the clutch does notengage and the motorremains stationary.The motor has alsobeen fitted with aspeed reduction/idlerAssembly to ensuresafe rewind speeds.Motors with optionalflameproof protectionfor single or three-phase mainssupply are also available.

Pneumatic Rewind

Two sizes of air motor are used toprovide a comparatively lightweight andcontrollable rewind solution for small tomedium sized hose reels. Pneumaticmodels are ideally suited to vehicleswith an airbrake system. An optional AirSupply Kit which ensures the longevityof the reel motor is also available.

Hydraulic Rewind

If you already have a hydraulic supply system, ahydraulic rewind hose reel should be considered.Specialised control valves regulate the rewindspeed and the maximum rewind torque as well asthe operation of the hose reel. This powerfulmotor is available on all models and sizes.

We offer a range of manlids and roll-over vents foruse on both road tankers and static tanks, a bulkfuel oil delivery nozzle and an earth bonding reel.Our wide range of roller shutters, which we havebeen building for 25 years, have been specificallydesigned to meet the demanding needs of theaviation and petrochemical industries. Our extremeenvironment roller shutters are inuse with major oil companies.

Finally, our range of cable drums are designed forheavy duty storage of electrical cable and thesmall diameter hose. These stack able units areconstructed in mild steel with a durable black nyloncoating and are used extensively by broadcastingand defence companies.

Collins Youldon Fuel Delivery

The Collins Youldon brand has long been synonymouswith high-quality reels which have been used for thedelivery of a large range of products including Water,Fuel Oil, Aviation Fuel, LP Gas and lubricants throughmanual, Electric, Hydraulic and Air Rewind models. Ourwide-bodied hose reels are used in an extensive rangeof applications in many different types of environmentsall over the world, including desert and marineenvironments.

We offer a range of finishes from our standard zinc-coated and powder-coated mild steel option togalvanised and stainless steel finishes for harsherenvironments.

Our range of Catherine reels is specially designed forFuel Oil delivery vehicles with Electric, HydraulicRewind and Air Rewind models.
