RFQ submissions must be submitted in sealed envelopes with the tittle clearly written for Attention: Procurement and Materials Manager. Envelopes are to be placed in the Quotation Box at the Finance Department, located on the ground Floor, Block B, Riverside Campus, 19 Aberfeldy Rd, Scottsville, Pietermaritzburg, 3209 on the specified Closing time and date.

1. INTRODUCTIONThe Durban University of Technology requires services of a general building contractor for partitioning of D Block Entrepreneurship Centre, Riverside Campus.

2. SCOPE OF WORK The scope of work will include the following items:

(a) Partitioning(b) Repairs to Floor Finishes(c) Paint internal walls and ceiling(d) Replace doors and windows(e) Electrical and plumbing works(f) Brick and plaster work

Bill of Quantities is attached.

3. COMPULSORY REQUIREMENTSAll Service Providers are requested to submit the following compulsory documents:

The Tax compliance status PIN (TCS PIN) must be submitted. Should the Bidders tax clearance status not be in order at close of the evaluation of the bid, this will lead to the invalidation of the bid document. 9Supply and install hollow-core standard door size to New Kitchen & Storeroom, including ironmongery lock mechanism.

10Supply and build-in new drywalls as shown on plan.

Drywall: 1 layer Gyproc Rhino board 12.5mm fixed to both sides of the framework using Gyproc Rhino board sharp point screws 3.5mm diameter x 25mm at maximum 220mm centres.

All joints shall be staggered.

Framework consist of Donn Ultra steel studs 51mm x 35mm friction fitted onto top and bottom Done ultra-steel track 51mmx25mm at 600mm centres.

Apply Gyproc rhino tape to all joints and internal conners and install Donn corner bead to all external corners.

11Replace the damaged existing cupboards in all 3 classrooms with new.

Size: 2900x1000x450mm using 16mm super wood board.
