    1. A slender rod AC of length 0.8 m and 5 kg is pivoted at B, with AB = 0.2 m. A point mass

    of 1 kg is rigidly fixed to each end of the rod. The motion of the rod is constrained within a

    vertical plane. Determine the location of the centre of mass of the assembly and the

    resultant centroidal moment of inertia of the assembly.

    2. A thin homogeneous wire of mass 1.6 kg is bent into the shape of a triangular frame withAB=AC = 0.5 m and BC = 0.6 m. The triangular wire frame is made to swing freely about thepoint A fixed to a pin. Determine the moment of inertia of the frame about an axis passingthrough the point A.
