MatchThe next couple of pages include a set of minisuperhero burst 10 frames, number cards andnumber word cards. Print off a set for small group
or pair practice. (Card stock would be best)Students will play a memory game where cards are
shuffled and placed face down and spread out on thetable or floor. Students will take turns turning over 3
cards. All three cards should describe the samething, eg. one, 1, and a ten frame showing 1 burst. Ifthey dont match, student turns cards back over, and
the other student takes a turn. If the cards do
match, student calls out BURST! and keeps the cards.Student with the most cards at the end of the gamewins. Store sets in baggies with the direction card.

Super Skittle SurpriseScience Observation Lesson
Teacher infoTeach the important scientific skill- observation.
You will need some small containers, some skittles and some warmwater. Thats it!
Put kids into small groups so each kiddo can have a good chanceto observe. Put enough warm water to cover skittles into each
container. Have kids set each Skittle into the water with the Sface up. Let them observe!! Hopefully they will see the colordissolving off each Skittle and the S floating up to the top!
Record observations!!(The ink used for the S does not readily dissolve in water- and
therefore floats up to the top..)

Super Ball Fun!Roll some paint dipped superballs around on a piece ofpaper. I used blue, red, and yellow tempera paint and just
an 81/2 x11 inch piece of copy paper in an aluminum pan.Allow paint to dry.Use superhero symbol pattern to cut painted paper intothat shape. Glue to construction paper and trim. Addwhatever words you want! Have fun!
