Weekly Activities Inskip Pool– Last Visit of Summer-Wednesday, August 4th- Depart Sunshine: 2:45. Return to Sunshine: 5:00. Cost: $4

Fountain “Dip”at World’s Fair Park– Wednesdays the 11th and 25th and Tuesday, the 17th- Depart Sunshine: 2:45. Return to Sunshine: 5:00. Cost: $3

Bowling– Thursdays- Location: Fountain Lanes. Depart SI : 2:45. *All Pick-Ups: Bowling alley by 4:00. Cost:$6.

Activities

Kentucky Splash Waterpark– Tuesday, the 3rd- Come with us for our last visit to Kentucky Splash Water Park located in Williamsburg, KY. Please note the unusual times since the park will be on reduced hours due to guards going back to school. Marguerite has ok’d Sunshine Industries employees going early from work. Yeah! Depart SI: 12:30 am. Return to SI: 6:30 pm. Everyone will need to eat lunch before leaving. Dinner isn’t included on this outing. Cost: $15 and includes a refreshment at the park, admission, and transportation.

The Hobbit at the Knoxville Children’s Theater– Friday, the 13th- Come with us to see The Hobbit is set within Tolkien's fictional universe and follows the quest of home-loving Bilbo Baggins, the titular hobbit, to win a share of the treasure guarded by Smaug the dragon. Bilbo's journey takes him from his light-hearted, rural surroundings into more sinister territory. Participation Option 1: Leave from Sunshine Industries at 2:45 to go bowling at Fountain Lanes and then head out for dinner and the play. Cost : $24 but does not include bowling. You must sign up separately for bowling ($6). See 'Bowling' . Participation Option 2: Report to Fountain Lanes by 4:15 and head out for dinner and the play. Cost: $24. Participation Option 3: Leave Sunshine at 6:15 for the play only. Cost: $14. Return to Sunshine- 8:30.

Pontoon Boating on Norris Lake- Wednesday, the 18th* (Subject to change based on pontoon availability)- Join us for some sun, fun and water (optional) when we head out for our second excursion to Norris Lake. Cost: $25 which includes dinner. P.S. Don’t forget those bathing suits & towels! Depart SI: 2:00. Return to SI: 9:30.

Swim and Relax at Great Smoky Mountain “Y” Swimming Hole-Friday, August 20th– Escape the city for a little mountain therapy in Townsend. Here we’ll make a stop at the Townsend “Y” swimming hole right inside the Great Smoky Mountain National Park for a refreshing dip in a cool mountain stream but you don’t have to swim to come along! The fresh mountain air and scenery alone are worth the trip. If you plan to swim you’ll need an old pair of shoes, bathing suit and towel. Cost: $6 Depart: 12:30. Return: 6:00.

Movie Matinee and Blaze Pizza– Tuesday, the 24th- It’s the return of a matinee movie at the AMC Windsor Square 7 followed by dinner at Blaze Pizza where you make your own pizza. Cost Option 1: Purchase your own pizza, drink and movie ticket for $20. Cost Option 2: Split a pizza and purchase your ticket for $14. Depart: 3:00 Everyone Returns: 8:30.

Band of Oz in Concert at Dandridge’s Music on the Town- Thursday, the 26th- Dandridge’s Music on the Town invites you to an outdoor concert with Band of Oz. This dynamic eight-member band features a full horn section and has been playing some of the best beach/swing music found since the 1960’s. Participation Option 1: Leave from Sunshine at 2:45 to go bowling at Fountain Lanes and then head to Dandridge for the dinner and concert. Cost is $14 but you must sign up separately for bowling ($6). See 'Bowling'. Participation Option 2: Report to Fountain Lanes at 4:15 and head out for dinner and the concert. Cost is $14. Return time: 9:45 for everyone.

Wednesday Lunch Sales

The Lunch House Blue Plate Lunch- Wednesday, the 4th- Enjoy a great “meat and two” lunch from The Lunch House off Magnolia. Cost: $9 and includes a choice of meat, two vegetables, and bread.

Chinese Lunch– Wednesday, the 11th- Cost: $8.

KFC– Wednesday, the 18th- Choose from one of the following “Finger Lickin’ Good” chicken meals: 1) Pot Pie w/cookie and drink- $6.50. 5) Crispy Colonel Sandwich, w/ fries and drink- $7.50 2) Famous Bowl Fill Up w/ cookie, and drink- $6.50. 6) Popcorn Nuggets w/ fries and drink- $7.50. 3) 3-piece tenders w/ fries, & drink- $7.00. 7) 2-piece w/breast and wing, fries and drink- $8.00. 4) 2-piece w/ drum & thigh, fries and drink-$7.00.

Buddy’s BBQ–Wednesday, the 25th- Enjoy some hometown BBQ from Buddy’s. Options include: 1) Sandwich Platter or Regular Platter with two sides, hush puppies and a drink. Cost: $7. 50 Meat choices: pulled pork, pulled chicken, or ham. Side choices: green beans, potato salad, fr ies, slaw or baked beans. 2) Smokey dog with fries and drink. Cost: $5.75 w/ drink or $5.00 w/o drink.

Friday Payday Lunch Outing

Shoney’s– Friday, the 6th- Enjoy a great lunch buffet at Shoney’s this day. Cost: $11 Senor Taco-Friday, the 20th- Join us at Senor Taco for some of Knoxville’s finest Mexican food. Lunch includes a choice of two chicken or beef items (taco, tostada, burrito, enchilada, chalupa or chili relleno) and comes with rice, beans, chips, salsa and drink. Cost: $12
