Sonny Rollins “Saxophone Colossus” is an American jazz tenor saxophonist whose career has earned him honors, accolades and awards. In 2011 he received our nation’s highest honor for artistic excellence, the Medal of Arts. Since practicing on the Williamsburg Bridge to sold out concerts worldwide, his live performances are unforgettable. His last show at the Touhill had a staggering seven standing ovations. You’ll have a chance to do a little Holiday Shopping at several shops or sample tea at Fezziwig’s Marketplace along the picturesque bricked St. Louis Street in historic Lebanon, IL. Day 7: Jackson, WY Let’s explore more of this unique land. Head south to the Grand Tetons and Jenny Lake. Browse Teton Village before lunch in the beautiful Mural Room at Jackson Lake Lodge. Then enjoy a sce-nic float on the Snake River with the Grand Tetons as the backdrop. Afterwards, we’ll continue into historic Jackson where you will have leisure time to explore Jackson Square, located in the heart of Jackson, WY. B, L

Day 1: Fly to Oakland Board a morning flight for beautiful San Fran-cisco where we will enjoy some free time at the Fisherman’s Wharf and dinner at Fog Harbor Fish House. After dinner travel across the bay to Oak-land and check into the Courtyard Marriott Down-town. D

Day 2: Game 1Enjoy a leisurely morning to explore Oakland be-fore we catch the first game of the trip against last year’s surprise AL West Champion, the Athlet-ics. Enjoy the game from our field level seats in section 108 at the O.co Coliseum. Stop for dinner before returning to the hotel. B. D

Day 3: San FranciscoCross the bay to San Francisco where we will en-joy a tour with a local guide. See the architecture of the city, Chinatown, Golden Gate Park, Nob Hill, Cable Cars, and many scenic views of the bay. Day 4: Anaheim – Game 2Take some time to browse the quaint shops, visit the windmills, or enjoy a Danish pastry in Solvang. Travel to beautiful Santa Barbara and enjoy the views and time at California’s oldest working wharf, Stearns Wharf. Continue south to Anaheim and check into the highly rated Ayers Hotel right next to Angels Stadium. This evening we see the Cardinals battle the Angels from our great field box seats! Day 1: Milwaukee Leave your passports at home; we’re off to Mil-waukee, our home base for the next two nights. D

Day 2: Milwaukee or “Munich of the West” Our local step-on guide will take us on a tour of Milwaukee...Euro-style! Enjoy a tour of the opu-lent Pabst Mansion, and free time in the quaint Old World Third Street district for shopping and lunch on your own. This afternoon, we’ll begin our journey, similar to the European immigrants of Wisconsin, aboard a canal boat. As we cruise along the river, imagine how it felt to arrive in Milwaukee as you enjoy the outstanding views of its modern and historic icons and buildings on the shores of downtown. Then we’re off to Milwau-kee’s most famous restaurant, Mader’s German Restaurant, for our delicious dinner and an op-portunity to behold the extensive Stein collection and Hummel Figurines in their Tower Gallery and gift shop. Day 3: New Glarus or “Little Switzerland” See a glimpse of the multi-cultural European in-fluence at Old World Wisconsin, before visiting Stoughton, a town that at the turn of the 19th century had the largest number of Norwegian immigrants in Wisconsin. Then it’s off to Madison to admire the diverse ethnic heritage reflected

throughout the State Capitol Building; a visit to the Italian Greenbush neighborhood; and a deli-cious Italian feast before we check into the Chalet Landaus, New Glarus, Wisconsin, the “Little Swit-zerland” of America, for the next 2 nights. B, D

Day 4: Blue Mound or “Little Norway” After a hearty breakfast, our journey takes us to Pendarvis, historical site of the Cornwall immi-grant miners in the “European” town of Mineral Point. Travel to Blue Mound, Wisconsin, and “Lit-tle Norway”, a homestead filled with a unique collection of Norse antiques. Continue to the Norwegian town of Mount Horeb, known as the troll capital of the world. The streets of this whim-sical town are lined with life-sized carved mythi-cal characters, each having their own personality. We will return to New Glarus, “Swisconsin”, with its emblems of Swiss cantons adorning the down-town buildings and street signs. This evening, we are in for a real treat: a savory Swiss dinner and lively entertainment. B, D

Day 5: Return homeNo trip to Wisconsin feels complete without a stop to pick up cheese! We’ll tour the Swiss-American Alp & Dell/Roth Kase, the fastest growing spe-cialty cheese factory in the country. B

Day 1: MichiganTravel to northern Indiana and visit a working sustainable dairy farm. Tour Fair Oaks Farm working dairy, world-famous Birthing Barn and exhibits explaining the greener farming methods employed. You won’t leave hungry as lunch made from fresh foods is included! Afterwards, travel to mid-Michigan and our overnight stay. L

Day 2: Frankenmuth, MIWillkommen! Travel to Frankenmuth, MI to enjoy the warm Bavarian hospitality of this quaint town with a guided tour. Day 4: From boats to carsThis morning, board the Appledore IV tall ship (85 foot schooner) for an expertly narrated sailing boat tour out to Saginaw Bay. If you are feeling adventurous, join the crew to haul on the hal-yards and help sail the ship. This afternoon, travel to The Henry Ford Museum and explore the in-genuity of American inventors including the new “Driving America” exhibit. Overnite in Jackson, MI. B, L

Day 1: Westward Ho!Today we begin a journey of exploration of the Oregon Trail. Visit Independence, MO, a com-mon starting point for pioneers, at the National Frontier’s Museum. At the Bingham-Waggoner Estate, enjoy a guided tour followed by dinner. Overnight in Independence, MO. DDay 2: Kearney, NEEn route to Kearney, enjoy a visit to the Hollen-berg Pony Express Station which functioned as a Pony Express stop from 1860-1861. This eve-ning visit the Great Platte River Road Archway Monument for an interactive tribute to the pio-neers who passed through the region. Dinner at a chuckwagon with a re-enactment of the Trail Era. B, DDay 3: Chimney Rock/Ash HollowToday visit Ash Hollow State Historical Park to see a resting place for the travelers and follow the short walking trail up to see wagon ruts. At Chimney Rock National Historical Site experience the same awe and curiosity as the pioneers when they saw the famous landmark on the trail. This evening enjoy a covered wagon tour of the trail, rib-eye steaks grilled on a wood fire and songs around a campfire under the stars just like 1850s. Overnight stay in Scottsbluff, NE. B, DDay 4: Oregon Trail Days Celebration and Cross-roads of a Nation Moving WestA morning visit to the annual Oregon Trails Days celebration before continuing along the trail visit-ing Fort Laramie National Historic site, the most important outpost on the trail, and Register Cliff, one of the best remaining signature rocks on the trail. Emigrants would inscribe their names along the trail to declare they made it this far and to sig-nal to family behind them. Arrive in Casper, WY for a 2-nightstay. Day 2: Rothenburg, GermanyArrive in Frankfurt and board our luxury coach for the short drive to Rothenburg ob der Tauber. This medieval city is one of only a few that exist in Germany that still have their entire medieval de-fensive wall intact. Rothenburg also has a Christ-mas market, and after touring the city on a short walk with a local guide to learn its history, we will have time to enjoy a smaller and quaint market. You will want to stop to visit Käthe Wohlfahrt’s Christkindlmarkt, an enormous Christmas shop which is open year-round. B (onboard plane)

Day 3: Nurnburg, GermanyIn the past century, Nürnberg has dark ties to the Nazi party, and was the scene of the war trials held by allied forces. In more modern times it has a much brighter reputation as the site of the best Christmas markets in Germany. Dozens and doz-ens of stands which are decorated for the season are set in the city center square, with craftsmen that have handmade a large variety of goods to sell. Some stands are cooking sausages and oth-ers are warming Glühwein, a mix of red wine and spices. We return Rothenburg for overnight. B, D

Day 4: Strasbourg, FranceAfter breakfast we depart for Strasbourg, France where we tour the Cathedral of Strasbourg, St. Thomas’s Church, and the University, the Astro-nomical clock and the historic “La Petite Stras-bourg” quarter. Our highlight will be exploring Strasbourg’s famous Christmas market around its impressive cathedral since 1570! While we are walking through the city, we see the work of the talented craftsmen, and the Bredle Market where we may taste little delicious cakes traditionally prepared during the advent period. Day 5: Triberg, GermanyToday we head for the beauty of the Black Forest at Christmas time. We stop in Freiburg to explore the Christmas Market before we visit the Gutach Farm Museum and a Cuckoo Clock Shop. We overnight in Triberg. B, D

Day 6: OberammergauWe travel southeast for a tour of Neuschwanstein, the grand palace created by Ludwig II of Bavaria in the foothills of the Alps, and is said to be the inspiration for Walt Disney’s castle. Next we travel

to Oberammergau, a small village dotted with or-nately painted homes and woodcarving shops, where handmade carvings are sold. B, D

Day 7: OberammergauThis morning we will tour another of Ludwig’s pal-aces, which lies about 15 miles from Oberammer-gau. Not as grand in stature as Neuschwanstein, the Palace Linderhof is tucked into the forest, hidden from view and very unique. After touring the palace we will travel half the distance back to our hotel to stop in the village of Ettal. Here we will have time to find lunch on our own, and stroll through the beautiful baroque monastery. After lunch we will visit a local cheese maker, for a tour and a cheese tasting. We then return to have some free time to explore Oberammergau. B, D

Day 8: Salzburg, AustriaUpon arrival in Salzburg, the city of Mozart, and The Sound of Music, a local guide will take us on a short walking tour including the Mirabel Gar-dens (the setting where “Do Re Mi” was sung in The Sound of Music), and down the streets of the famous Getreidegasse (the traditional cobble-stoned shopping street in the old part of the city). On our tour we will go into the home where Mo-zart was born, and walk through the city’s grand cathedral. This evening we will have dinner at the St Peter Stiftskeller, the oldest restaurant in Europe, having been documented as early as the year 803. B, D

Day 9: SalzburgAfter breakfast this morning, we will tour a salt mine. We will don miners garb, and slide our way underground for a truly fun and educational expe-rience. In the afternoon we will return to Salzburg for some free time to explore Salzburg’s Christ-mas market. Tonight we have dinner on our own. B

Day 10: Munich, GermanyTravel to Munich, where we will meet a local guide and learn about the history and highlights of the city. Next we stop in Brunswick, GA to browse the historic square and take in the beauty of this uniquely perched har-bor town and its Victorian architecture. In the late 1800’s, a group of millionaires sent a team of ex-perts to locate an area with great natural beauty, excellent weather and privacy. They found Jekyll Island and proceeded to build the Jekyll Island Club Hotel, our home for the next two nights.

If the tour involves air travel, the cost of the ticket is includ-ed unless otherwise noted. Some airlines charge for checked baggage and that is not included in the tour price. Tips for the driver, tour managers, and step-on guides are left to the discretion of the traveler and should be in accordance with services re-ceived. Typical gratuities for tour manager and driver are $3-$5 per person, per day.Trip InsuranceFor 2 main reasons we highly recom-mend the purchase of trip insurance and can provide information on Berkley Insur-ance: 1) Trip interruption – There are cir-cumstances that can prevent passengers from fully participating in a tour and may require an early departure or extended stay. For example, if a passenger suffers an injury that prevents the traveler from

continuing on the tour, insurance will cover the cost of the extended stay, the cost of transportation home and the value of the missed tour (subject to claim submission and acceptance by Berkley Insurance). If you do not have insurance, you will per-sonally incur these costs and it can be very expensive. 2) Trip cancellation - If you are forced to cancel a tour for medical reasons (for you or an immediate family member), having insurance ensures a complete re-fund of monies paid (except for the cost of insurance). Sunrise cannot guarantee this because there are times when monies are paid on your behalf prior to departure.Pick-up points For each trip, we determine the pick-up points used based in part on the number of requests for each point. We have pick-up points to service the north, west, south and central areas of St. Louis metropolitan area and St. Charles and Illinois. All pick-up points allow parking for your vehicle. Sun-rise’ pick up point partners offer the use of parking spaces during tour as a courtesy to Sunrise travelers. Neither Sunrise Tours nor parking lot owners assume responsibil-ity for incidents occurring to parked cars. You will be notified of which pick-ups we are using for your tour in a letter about 2 weeks prior to departure. If you would like to stay overnight before leaving on the tour, we can provide a hotel room at some of our pick-ups for a reduced rate. If our routing allows, we may pick up along the way in outlying areas. IdentificationA passport is required on any tour that leaves the United States, including Canada. Photo ID’s are required on all fly tours and recommended on all tours.Singles Requesting RoommatesIf you would like to go on tour with us, but do not have a roommate for a specific trip, let us know and we will match you with someone else (same sex of course). Just let us know at least 60 days before departure and we will room you with another traveler at the double rate. If there is no roommate available on the tour you request, you will still only have to pay the price of a double. If you decline the roommate assigned, you will be responsible for the single supple-ment. Of course, if you prefer to travel individually, you can still sign up for the sin-gle fare. This offer is not valid on cruises, and some select tours.

For final payment we accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, check or cash.Seating on the MotorcoachSeating is assigned and will be rotated on a daily basis. Special seating requests are honored on the basis of availability. Paying the single fare does NOT ensure you will have a seat to yourself on the coach, it only ensures you a room by yourself.ResponsibilitySunrise Tours is not responsible for any in-jury, delay, loss or accident due to any act or negligence on the part of any person or company rendering services on any of our tours. We reserve the right to change any itinerary.
