The OPTI SYSTEM
External sun shading
External WAREMA sun shading systems can reduce
solar incidence of energy. Incidence of light is
optimised to allow for suicient daylight utilisation
without glare. The concept is simple: Depending on
time of day or year more or less sunlight is allowed
in and the system uses more or less of the possible
solar energy gain.
Internal sun shading
The internal WAREMA product provides additional
glare control all year round, providing comfort and a
high level of convenience. Visual privacy or view out
can be individually adjusted. High-grade materials
and a varied colour palette give individual style to
any room.
Intelligent control
WAREMA control systems create the ideal room
climate with optimum daylight utilisation. They make
use of solar energy according to demand and around
the clock.

Best possible sun shading systems and distinct energy savings are an interesting
aspect for any home owner today. The WAREMA OPTI SYSTEM offers the ideal room
climate – comfortable cool in summer and cosy warm in winter. Fully automatic with
maximum comfort. With existing heat protection glazing the combination of external
adjustable sun shading, internal glare control and an intelligent control saves up to 40
percent of energy costs.

Summer daytimeSolar incidence of energy has to be kept low on a hot summer day. Incidence of light should be high enough to allow for sufficient daylight utilisation without glare. Additional internal glare control can be used where requirements are especially high.
Winter daytimeSolar energy gains should be used on a cold winter day. Only internal glare control is used. When the sun is low the requirements for glare control are especially high. Internal products with low transmission can meet these requirements. Dark colours ensure that a large quantity of solar energy can be used.
Summer nighttimeAt the end of a hot summer day the building will have heated up. At night the control raises all existing sun shading components which block the heat flow from inside to outside. This supports the building cooling down.
Winter night timeDuring the cold winter night the building has to be protected from heat loss. This requires all sun shading products to be lowered. The resulting air pockets between the individual components improve heat insulation.

WAREMA control systems improve the energy
eiciency of your building. By automatically
reacting to weather, temperature or light, your
sun shading products reduce heat loss in
winter and build-up of heat in summer. You use
less energy for heating and air conditioning –
even when you are asleep or not at home.
Practical application
Reducing heating costs and using solar energy
Your roller shutters automatically close at night,
creating additional insulation which prevents
the rooms from cooling down. In winter the
roller shutters are open during the day, using
free solar energy for lighting and heating.
State funding
Installing a sun shading control system improves
the energy eiciency of your building. With
decreasing energy costs and state funding
programmes the investment in a modern
combination of sun shading and control
system quickly pays of.
Energy efficiency is becoming increasingly important in the property sector: The
energy saving regulation 2009 (EnEV 2009) has set stricter limit values for the energy
consumption in new and existing buildings with effect from October 2009. At the same
time energy costs are rising every year.

Creating personal well-being easily and conveniently – the WAREMA know-how for control systems and sun
shading ofers best possible support. Rather than manually positioning individual venetian blinds or entire facade
shading systems, the creation of comfortable temperature and light settings can simply be left to the automatic
control. You have more time for important and productive things because you only have to interfere with the sun

At the press of a button pre-deined scenes move
external venetian blinds, roller blinds and lighting
to the intended position for presentations.
Glare-free working
Slat tracking according to the position of the
sun ensures that no direct sunlight enters into
the room through the slats. At the same time
difuse daylight is guided into the room to
reduce the need for artiicial lighting.
Individual systems working together
Networked control solutions provide an
outlook for how we will be and working in the
future. In addition to sun shading they also
control lighting, heating, air conditioning and
ventilation systems as well as motorised
windows, creating maximum comfort.

from burglaries or weather damage. Your sun shading products are moved to an optimum position before any
damage can occur.

Practical application
Preventing storm damage
Storms are common occurrence during the
winter season. Your WAREMA climatronic®
weather station measures wind speed. When
the wind gets too strong the sun shading units
are automatically moved to a safety position to
protect them from damage.
Protection against UV radiation
Controlling sun shading units depending on
insolation intensity not only reduces build-up of
heat in the rooms but also protects your
furnishings against UV radiation.
Security at night
One press of a button closes all sun shading
products in a building, ensuring that none
was forgotten. Closed sun shading systems
also improve burglary protection.

WAREMA climatronic® coordinates your sun shading, air conditioning and ventilation as well as lighting systems
to create the best possible room climate. In smaller and larger buildings it monitors and controls according to
environmental inluences which have an efect on your well-being. Humidity, temperature or light intensity are
controlled according to your preset values. Intuitive operation makes it easy to create your personal preferred
climate for working and relaxing.

WAREMA climatronic® studio software allows the
user to create a WAREMA climatronic® project
comfortably on a PC and then parametrise it to
subsequently transfer the project data to the
operating panel using an SD card or USB cable.
A PC can also be used to conveniently operate
the products and display historical measuring
values, triggers and errors.
* WAREMA climatronic® studio software cannot be used in
combination with KNX.

The WAREMA climatronic® weather station is only
13 cm high and the most compact and smallest of
its kind – but it has a lot to ofer!
It provides separate measurements for the four
compass directions:
� wind speed
� wind direction
� outside brightness
The innovative weather station also supplies
information about:
� precipitation in the form of rain
� outside temperature
� ice formation
All this is carried out without any movable parts
which minimises subsequent maintenance work.
The integrated DCF77 radio clock receiver always
provides the current time in the WAREMA
climatronic®. The small and attractive weather
station can be alternatively mounted on the wall or
on a pole.

The communication between sun shading, heating and air conditioning allows implementation
of highly complex control requirements for commercial buildings. WAREMA components
integrate perfectly into KNX networks using standardised interfaces. This allows you to benefit
from proven WAREMA quality in all areas of building automation. When living and working in
“intelligent buildings” as well as when controlling event scenes in large commercial buildings.
