Resurrection Troparion (Tone 3) Let all in heaven rejoice! Let all on earth be glad! For the Lord has acted, mighty in His arm: He has trampled down death by death! He has become the first-born of the dead! He has delivered us from the pit of Hades, And has granted to the world his great mercy.

Cross Troparion (Tone 1) O Lord, save Your people, And bless Your inheritance. Grant victories to the Orthodox Christians Over their adversaries; And by virtue of Your Cross, Preserve Your habitation.

Resurrection Kontakion (Tone 3) On this day You rose from the tomb, O

Compassionate Lord, Leading us out from the gates of death. Adam dances for joy today and Eve rejoices. Together with the prophets and patriarchs, They never cease to sing the praise of the Divine

power of Your might.

Cross Kontakion (Tone 4) As You were voluntarily crucified for our sake, Grant mercy to those who are called by Your

name; Make all Orthodox Christians glad by Your power, Granting them victories over their adversaries, By bestowing on them the invincible trophy, Your

weapon of peace. Instead of “Holy God…” we sing “Before Your

Cross…” Prokeimenon (Tone 7) Extol the Lord our God; worship at His footstool

for it is holy! Verse: The Lord reigns; let the people tremble! Alleluia Verses: Remember Your congregation which You have

purchased of old. God is our King before the ages; He has wrought

salvation in the midst of the earth. Hymn to the Theotokos Magnify, O my soul, The most precious Cross of the Lord.

You are the mystical Paradise, O Theotokos, In which Christ blossomed Through Him the life-bearing wood of the Cross

was planted on earth. Now at its Elevation, as we bow in worship be-

fore it, We magnify you. Communion Hymns: Praise the Lord from the heavens! Praise Him in

the highest! The light of Your countenance is signed upon us,

O Lord.

The Reading from the 1st Epistle of the Holy Apostle Paul to the Corinthians 1 Corinthians 15:1-11

Brothers and sisters: I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scrip-tures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scrip-tures, and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep. After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles. Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one born out of due time. For I am the least of the apos-tles, who am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. Therefore, whether it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed.
