Scripture for Silent Meditation and prayer (10:55 a.m.) Psalm 1 (ESV) Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. The wicked are not so, but are like chaff that the wind drives away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous; for the LORD knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.

By faith Moses, when he was grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter, choosing rather to be mistreated with the people of God than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin. He considered the reproach of Christ greater wealth than the treasures of Egypt, for he was looking to the reward. By faith he left Egypt, not being afraid of the anger of the king, for he endured as seeing him who is invisible. By faith he kept the Passover and sprinkled the blood, so that the Destroyer of the firstborn might not touch them.

• Ligonier Study Series - The Life of Christ - ROTC Room: Fred Loomis & Bill Snyder will facilitate an R.C. Sproul video series in which we will seek to apply our understanding of God to our daily lives and relationships

Rejoice Sunday- Sunday, September 29 will be "Rejoice Sunday" with much of the service music being provided by Rejoice Students and Faculty. Chair Dr. Dan Westphal and Director Lisa Wilson will give an update on the school's development and plans for the second year.
The Fall Semester is underway! We offer lessons in voice, piano, organ, guitar and most other instruments, and classes in drama, speech, literature and music for young children. Private coaching in voice and speech is available as well.

Community & CultureSalt and Light Breakfast, Saturday, September 21, 8:30 a.m. at the Ministry Center. Our guest speaker is Dr. Peter Hammond of Frontline Fellowship of Africa. He conducts an average of 400 meetings every year throughout Africa, Europe and North America. Some of Peter's most popular presentations are on evangelizing in the war zones and serving the persecuted churches in Africa. Dr. Hammond will give an update on what is really happening in Egypt and Sudan. Please sign-up on the registration form.
Music Ministry
Children's Choir (Grades 3-8) rehearses every Sunday at 8:45 am in the Band Room.
Christ's Ambassadors, (Grades 8-12) rehearses Sundays at 4:00 pm at our South Campus. New members welcome!
