Rev. James R. Carter, Senior Pastor

Scripture for Silent Meditation and prayer (10:55 a.m.) Psalm 1 (ESV) Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. The wicked are not so, but are like chaff that the wind drives away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous; for the LORD knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.

By faith Moses, when he was grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter, choosing rather to be mistreated with the people of God than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin. He considered the reproach of Christ greater wealth than the treasures of Egypt, for he was looking to the reward. By faith he left Egypt, not being afraid of the anger of the king, for he endured as seeing him who is invisible. By faith he kept the Passover and sprinkled the blood, so that the Destroyer of the firstborn might not touch them.

Look at the world, everything all around us: look at the world, and marvel every day. Look at the world, so many joys and wonders, so many miracles along the way. Refrain: Praise to Thee, O Lord, for all creation! Give us thankful hearts that we may see all the gifts we share and every blessing; all things come of Thee! Look at the earth, bringing forth fruit and flower, look at the sky, the sunshine and the rain. Look at the hills, look at the trees and mountains, valley and flowing river, field and plain. (Refrain) Think of the spring, think of the warmth of summer, bringing the harvest before the winter’s cold. Everything grows, everything has a season, till it is gathered to the Father’s fold. (Refrain) Every good gift, all that we need and cherish, comes from the Lord, in token of His love; we are His hands, stewards of all His bounty, His is the earth and His the heavens above! Welcome

Our Vision - New Presbyterian Church desires to be a congregation that impacts and influences the community and culture for the glory of God. We strive to foster an environment of grace, and work to deepen relationships of trust, in which there is genuine fellowship, which is defined by a spirit of acceptance, affirmation and accountability.

Our Mission - The mission of NPC is to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, and to equip every member to faithfully serve and obey His commands. Our goal is to joyfully and practically live out our calling to “glorify God and enjoy Him forever.” The application of our mission is defined by our Four Pillars: Reverent Worship, Evangelism, Biblical World & Life View, and Reformed Theology.
