ST. AMBROSE SCHOOL NEWS

An Act of Spiritual Communion My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen. https://www.ewtn.com/catholicism/devotions/act-of-spiritual-communion-339

MISSION STATEMENT "Fostering a faith-filled and academically strong environment,

Saint Ambrose Catholic School works with families and the faith community to encourage the formation of the whole child

through the examples and teachings of Jesus Christ."

Summer school office hours will be 9:00 am-1:00 pm during the month of July.

We are continuing to register new students, as we have some openings in our lower and middle school grades. Please help us to spread the word about our wonderful school. I will invite you to check our school website at: https://stambroseschool.org/ there you will find information about our programs and all the amazing things we did through our E-Learning program.

Saint Ambrose School will be going into its 26th year of aca-demic excellence. As a result of our academic excellence, for multiple years we have been awarded the National Blue Ribbon from The Department of Education. We are a small school with one classroom per grade. All of our teachers are certified, hold a bachelor degree and some have master degrees, or are work-ing to complete it. Because we are a small school, we can pro-vide our families with a personal touch. Once you walk through our doors you will feel at home. We are a very unified commu-nity and our students can embrace our new students and make them feel part of our family as they enter the classroom for the first time. Parents choose to send their children to Saint Ambrose School because: (I) Our mission's strength: is our ability to unfold our stu-dent's unique talents and gifts in a safe and nurtur-ing environment. (II) Our main purpose: is our capacity to shape our student’s character with values and actions that follow the example of Jesus. (III) Our Catholic identity: is our potential to focuses on de-veloping "the whole child” by allowing our students to fulfill a critical role in our world, our country, and our Church. Our school respects and supports the diversity of learning and can individualize instruction from preschool to 8th grade. We offer additional support to students who are showing aca-demic difficulties through our Resource program and Title I. Also, we offer advanced math for our middle school stu-dents. Students in our advanced math program will be graduat-ing with Algebra 1 Highschool credit. In addition, during these difficult times, our teachers were providing our students with daily online instruction. I hope this additional information will help you as you navigate the possibility of St. Ambrose Catho-lic School for your children.

We are looking for an Extended Day Director for the next school year. The hours are 3-6 pm, Monday-Friday. If you are looking to work a few hours a day and have experience manag-ing people. Interested candidates should submit a cover letter with three professional references, current resume.

These are uncertain times with the Coronavirus Pandemic changing our lives in ways we never thought possible. There has been an upsurge of abortions seen in some places because of this and prayers for the unborn are needed now more than ever.

A Prayer for an End to Abortion Heavenly Father, Spare our nation from the scourge of abortion. Protect the lives of children in the womb. Give hope and strength to their mothers. Stir love in the hearts of fathers to support and cherish mother and child. Cause our elected leaders and the courts to recognize and protect the personhood of unborn children. Lift up church leaders to proclaim a Culture of Life. Lead parents who had abortions to repentance and healing. Bring about the conversion of the abortionist, of those who deny the birthright of children and of those who are indifferent. Grant me the courage and energy to be a Defender of Life. I ask this through my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Diocesan WORKCAMP

REBOOT 2020

WorkCamp a Big Success!

Thank you to St. Ambrose for

the great support for this

year’s Summer WorkCamp. Eight teens and eight

adults worked on three homes in the local commu-

nity (two within our parish); repairing doors, win-

dow, woodwork, shutters, fences and gardens. We

also did a lot of painting. It took every minute

scheduled to complete all the tasks. The teens and

adults learned valuable lessons in construction and

in faith. We also had great support from several

volunteers, providing us with evening meals. Bot-

tom line: your donations and prayers made this a

success. Thank You!
