(responsive) [inspired by Isaiah 61:10-62:3]

Leader: We gather to delight greatly in The LORD. PEOPLE: Our souls rejoice in our GOD. Leader: The Holy One has clothed us with salvation -wrapping us in robes of Divine Righteousness. PEOPLE: May we then prepare ourselves to serve as priests of our GOD and may we be rightly wed to our Redeemer. Leader: Forgive us, Sovereign LORD, when we fail to tend the soil and seed YOU have entrusted to us. PEOPLE: Bless us afresh, we pray, to tend the gardens of our lives in such a way that holiness and praise would spring up before all nations.

Something to Think and Pray About:

"None are so old as those who have outlived enthusiasm." -Henry David Thoreau

"Fortunately, God made all varieties of people with a wide variety of interests and abilities. He has called people of every race and color who have been hurt by life in every manner imaginable. Even the scars of past abuse and injury can be the means of bringing healing to another. What wonderful opportunities to make disciples!”

“Whatever we do, we must not treat the Great Commission like it's the Great Suggestion." -Rev. Charles Swindoll

"Each new day on earth is a sacred moment." -Lailah Gifty Akita

CHRISTMASTIDE Happy New Year

Leader: For the sake of The Heavenly City, let’s not keep silent; for the sake of earthly communities, we will not remain quiet. PEOPLE: We will continue proclaiming our faith and hope until YOUR Light shines from us like a blazing torch -illuminating the way to salvation for all people. Leader: Let all the nations see GOD’s goodness in us. Let us shine like the dawn -radiant with thanksgiving for the fresh starts YOU grant us. ALL: May our lives be so full of godly beauty, that we bring YOU, Sovereign GOD, the glory YOU are due; AMEN!
