The thin protective layer of the upper atmosphere which shields us from the sun’s harmful UV rays

It wraps all the way around the earth and is 10-30 miles straight up.

It is thinner today than it was 20 years ago

What are chlorofluorocarbons? (CFCs)

Manmade chemicals found in refrigerators and air conditioners. They become harmful when they leak into the airThe chlorine in the CFCs eat away at the ozone layerThey allow more UV rays to reach earth
