Sun Valley Museum of Art High School Arts & Humanities Scholarship 2/19/2020 This scholarship is designed for Blaine County high school students currently enrolled in grades 9-12 looking to further their artistic pursuits in the visual arts, performing arts and/or humanities. Scholarships can be used for summer study programs or programs during the school year with local schools or individual instructors. Students can receive up to $2500. Multiple awards are given. WHEN CHOOSING A PROGRAM: The committee is more likely to award a student who has taken advantage of their local learning opportunities. PROGRAM EXAMPLES: Footlight Dance/SV Ballet, The Spot!, St. Thomas Playhouse, Boulder Mountain Clayworks, Sun Valley Summer Symphony, CSI, SVCA visual arts classes, Rocky Mountain School of Photography, pre-college arts programs with University of Idaho, BSU, Pratt Institute (NY), Cornish College, Rhode Island School of Design, Idylwild Summer Arts Camp. We recommend making the document in a PowerPoint/ Google Slides presentation and then saving it as a PDF. · Theater, film and music samples- avoid group performances. Often times the committee doesn’t know who to look for.
