With the Commodore's Ball behind us and in front of all our membership, I would like to formally thank the Ball Committee, the people handling the Glow Room, our Master of Ceremonies and our Pastor for presenting all the attendees with the best Ball of the Year as proclaimed by just about everyone there. It was fabulous and a night I'll never forget.

Last month we started a series of events that will hopefully extend through the coming winter months 'till spring. That is, Euchre Nights. After the first night, and it was a wild one, the people there wanted another one in December and so we are, Friday, Dec. 14th. So, if you play cards and don't mind getting laughed at for playing slow or the wrong card or out of turn or (Oh shoot, did I say that?) or just like a little companionship, come on out and join in, it really is a lot of fun.

On Friday, December 7, we have our Change of Watch at the clubhouse where next year's Commo-dore takes over and I am stripped of my rank and condemned to sitting with all the old past com-modores in the back of the room, sob sob, (excuse me for getting carried away). Good luck Neil !

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all you guys and may the Holiday Season smile upon you.

This will be my last Log Report as your Vice Commodore. It’s been an honour representing the Club in this capacity. It’s been a lot of work, but at the same time, a lot of fun, making new and dear friends throughout the year. I am very excited to represent SPBC as your Commodore for 2019. This year’s slate of officers appears to be top Notch, and I am expecting great things from them. Thank you for stepping up to the challenge. This month I attended our Exe. meeting on the 5th, Lady Pat and I have attended the Chili cook off at SPBC on the 3rd hosted by Bill and Linda Deans who pulled off a very hot event. We attended our first 2019 Ball at Toledo Sail for Commodore Marc and Lady Merry Snyder on the 10th in Ohio, then our Commodores Ball on the 17th honouring Rick and Lady PC Izzie which was very well attended. The food, music, drinks and candy bar were excellent and very well received, By the number of times Security showed up at the afterglow party, everyone enjoyed themselves. See you at the General Membership Meeting and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Wow...my last log report.

What can I say, the Ball was a blast. It was wonderful to see so many people attending, club members, Commodore Classes of '17, '18 and '19, as well as many of the AYC friends we have made over the last 3 years. We cannot thank you enough for making this a memory that will last forever. The Ball Committee did a fantastic job and special thanks to Jay & Diane Glover (Designs By Diane) for their contribution of linens and juke box and especially Lady Pat Bastien for the table decorations and candy bar. I don't know where you found the time

Congratulations to P/C Mike Brown from Seaway Boat Club for winning the Commodore's Raffle.

We are planning on having another Euchre Night on Friday, December 14th. Let's see if we can make this an ongoing event.

I want to wish all our members a Very Merry Christmas & Healthy, Safe and Happy New Year.

Signing off for the last time.
