will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 20th

at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. All are invited!

First Presbyterian Church and Church Women United will be doing something different this year. Instead of the Toy Drive as we have had in the past, we will be working with Fayette County Agri-Life and the Fayette County Welfare Board. The Fayette County Welfare Board serves between 60 and 70 clients which are children from the ages of infant to 18 years. They will provide a list of requests for these children which will be put on a paper “angel.” These “angels” will then be hung on an “angel tree.” If you would like to provide a Christmas present for one of these children you will be able to select an angel which will list the gender, the age and the item the child would like. There will be a code on the tag which will trace back to the specific child but we won't know who that child/family is. Please firmly attach the tag to the item when you return it to the church and we will get it to Agri-Life in time for wrapping and distributing. This way you can select an angel/s that fit your budget. You can wrap it or not, just be sure to attach the angel tag to the item. If you are more comfortable donating money and letting someone else do the shopping we will have a gift box where you can slip your donation into the box. We hope to have some angels by 2nd Sunday lunch in November, but the Fayette County Welfare Board doesn't meet until Nov. 14 when they will have all the lists ready. Sally Garrett indicated that they have a wrapping party before Christmas and wrap all the gifts at the Ag Building and any and all are wel-come to come help.
