Sun and Beach Tourism and adventure tourism in Costa Rica

Tourism in Costa Rica is one of the fastest growing economic sectors of the country. On

vacation many foreigners prefer our country for its natural beauty, and many of them

practices the two most common type of tourism in Costa Rica. The purpose of this essay is

to compare the activities that you can do in each type of tourism, the weather, and the cost.

One of the biggest differences between tourism adventure and sun and beach tourism are

the types of activities. If you want to do adventure tourism you can do different types of

activities such as: rafting, canopy, bungee jumping and others. Nevertheless, if you don´t

like the adrenaline and danger the best option for you is the sun and beach tourism. With

this kind of tourism you can do relaxes activities for example: walking on the sand,

swimming with dolphins, taking the sun and many others activities. As you can see the

adventure tourism is more risky than the sun and beach tourism.

Adventure tourism and sun and beach tourism has many differences, one of them is the

weather because Costa Rica has one of the most diverse climates on the planet. It´s very

important to be present what kind of weather you prefer. If you fancy the tropical climate

the best option for you is adventure tourism, you will find fresh o cold weather. In other

hand, if you hate the tropical climate you can choose sun and beach tourism with this kind

of tourism you will get the subtropical climate and enjoy the warm sea air. As a

consequence, sun and beach tourism has hotter climate than the adventure tourism.

Another important point to compare and I thing is the most important is the cost. There are

many activities that you can do with adventure tourism. For instance, you decide to carry

out canopy the cost approximately is around $60 or to do bungee jumping it´s cost you $70.

But, if you dislike those kinds of activities or you don´t have enough money, don´t worry

because you can go for the sun and beach tourism. With this kind of tourism you don´t

have to pay nothing, all the activities are completely free the only thing you have to pay is

the gasoline for your car. Therefore, to do sun and beach tourism activities is cheaper than

adventure tourism activities.

In conclusion, the tourists of Costa Rica have many options to pick out what kind of

tourism they prefer to do. Different people prefer adventure tourism than the sun and beach

tourism, it doesn´t matter which will be your option. The most important is you will get

explore new places, reducing stress level which lead to a better health.
