For this textology project I decided to create something for one of my favor-ite baseball player Derek Jeter. The photo is shaped to show the back of his jersey. As most people know the Yan-kees for their pinstripes I decided to use his achievements for the striping. And for the number I put the different nicknames he has receive over his ca-

Using Indesign we created a brochure. For my idea I choose to do something about the HPU baseball team. I create an image using bats and a ball, but in-side of that is what the baseball team uses for their team yells. The “H-Pac” short for Hawaii Pacific creates an im-age of the figure of a shark. This being HPU new logo at the start of this year.

Joshua “Rico” Garcia will begin another year on the Hawaii Pacifi c University baseball team. Aft er a stellar performance in the Northwood’s collegian summer league. Garcia has “put him self on the map” of be-ing one of the top prospect in the league. Th e Junior Right handed pitcher was rated the tenth best prospect according to the league adminis-trators. Th rough out the summer he posted a 2.12 ERA rank- ing him

among the top in that statistic. While having been stellar

though out the whole sum-mer Garcia

earned him- self as a post season ALL- STAR. Garcia the “ace” of the staff and the newly named Sharks look forward to the 2015 season on hope of another Pac-West title.

Kapana was solid behind the plate for the Sea Warriors, he hit .321 in 38 games with 21 runs, 13 walks, fi ve doubles, a home run and 16 RBI. Defensively, he was tough to run on, he threw out 14 of 29 runners attempting to steal.Tokunaga played in all 48 games as a sophomore, he hit .348 with 40 runs, 29 walks, four doubles, a triple, 25 RBI and eight steals. His .444 on base percentage was tops on the club and fourth in the PacWest. Gauthe made the team as a relief pitcher, overall he made 15 appearances earning a 4-2 record with a 2.31 ERA. His ERA was the fourth

best in the league. Ever ver-satile, Gauthe also made six

starts, one of which was a complete game shutout.

HPU fi nished the season with a 30-18 record,

narrowly missing the NCAA West Re-

gional.

A er an outstanding 2014, Na-kasato earned himself a rst team All-Pac-West selection. Played in 47 games while hitting .356 with 15 walks, 32 runs, 12 doubles, four triples, 41 RBI and eight steals. Nakasato did it all, he did not commit an error in the eld all season in 79 total chanc-es while adding four assists. e junior also authored the longest hit streak in HPU history when he hit safely in 34 consecutive games. e now senior and one of the leaders on the 2015 Sharks, looks to keep things rolling and contin-ue to stay red hot a er the break out season that he had in 2014.

Yukumoto begins his tenth season at the helm of the HPU baseball program. “Coach Yuks” has been very success-ful and is considered by many as

the best head coach in HPU history. His 233 career victories are the most wins by an HPU skipper. Yukumoto also authored the best single-season in history in 2010 when the Sea Warriors won 39 games. Yuks has done a great job developing impact players during his time at HPU. ree players who have played for him have gone on to be dra ed by Major League Baseball (Kaimi Mead in the 18th round in 2008, Blake Amaral in the 40th round in 2012, and Kale Sumner 32nd.

In this photo we were to create and copy a replica of a cartoon character while using Illustrator. This process was hard at first but once you figured out the different tricks of the system it became easier. I choose bugs bunny because he was one of my favorite car-toon characters growing up.

For this retouch project we had used photoshop. This project was one of the hardest in my opinion because try-ing to find the right spots to match her skin tone was difficult. If it was to dark or to light in some places it would look funny. This creating a challenge for me retouch this picture.

For this extra photo i am trying to design a new logo for a company that I work for. It is called Batters Box Hawaii. So I decided to make a simple design using a regular home plate batters box. And as a baseball player we
