Summer Vacation Care 2018/2019

All meals, activities and childcare are included in the vacation care price!Please make sure each child is wearing socks and has their own bag or backpack, drink bottle, hat and sunscreen plus a raincoat for excursions. Children must be at the centre before 9am on excursion days as we leave at 9am sharp! If you’d rather your child not participate in swimming excursions they can enjoy activities at the centre for the day. All meals are planned according to the activities schedule.

We offer the new CCS (Child Care Subsidies) to eligible families. As the new Childcare Package begins from 2 July 2018 you must have completed the required Government procedures with MyGov to be able to claim your Subsidies. Find out more at education.gov.au/childcare

What should we bring?As we provide ALL food there is no need to pack morning tea, lunch or afternoon tea. If your child has a fussy diet/likes to snack you are welcome to pack snacks. Please make sure the snacks are nut free.

Each child should have their own backpack containing the following items:

>> Drink Bottle >> Hat >> Sunscreen

A drink bottle so staff can continually refill throughout the day with water to keep your child hydrated. If you forget to pack a drink bottle we will give your child a 600ml bottle of water and a $4 charge will be added to your account. A hat and sunscreen is essential for excursions.

Cheeky Monkeys OOSH is a Sun Smart centre. If it is an outdoor activity and your child does not have a hat they will only be able to play in the shade.

General Information

Vacation Care is for children up to 12 years old.

PG Rated, movies may be shown at the centre. Please see staff regarding any concerns.

What to wearPlease dress your children in t-shirts that cover their shoulders. It is also advisable for them to wear long shorts or tights for use on the slides. If you think it is appropriate, please pack an extra set of clothes in their backpack.

Please wear covered shoes only – thongs and most sandals are NOT appropriate.

If any of these are not packed or your child/ren are not wearing appropriateclothing it will mean they have to play in the shade.

Please don’t bring valuables!Cheeky Monkeys Staff will not be responsible for monies left unattended or in a backpack. Please clearly label ALL of your items with your child’s name. Toys (including mobile phones, ipads, MP3 players) etc or expensive jewellery or items should not be brought to Vacation Care.

Payments Full payment is required with your booking, permission and enrolment forms. There are no cancellation, refunds, credits or transfers.

Late Bookings Late bookings are accepted depending on availability. There is a $20 per family late booking fee on every separate occasion a late booking is made.

Children are permitted to bring a small amount of money to spend at their parent’s discretion. Please put the money in an envelope clearly marked with the amount and your child’s name and ask a staff member to look after it for them.

All 2019 enrolments need to be completed and returned.

Collaroy Beach Rock Pool & Collaroy Beach Park Beach Rd and the park at Birdwood Avenue (off Pittwater Rd), Collaroy BeachToday Cheeky Monkeys are heading to Collaroy beach on a Cheeky Monkeys bus to explore the rock pools. Children will be swimming on this excursion so please pack a swimming costume and towel. Afterwards we’ll enjoy a picnic lunch in the park.

Monster BMX Sydney Olympic Park, Grand Parade, Sydney

Today Cheeky Monkeys are heading to Monster BMX on a Hire bus. Today children will be riding BMX bikes and learning safe riding techniques. All equipment will be provided. This activity is for kids age 7+ only. We’ll be travelling by hire bus or Cheeky Monkeys bus.

Thursday 10 January 2019 Departing 9am SHARP Arriving back approx. 3.30pm

Ice Skating Ice Zoo, 689 Gardners Rd, Alexandria. Ph: 9669 6445

Today Cheeky Monkeys will be heading to Alexandria to have fun ice skating. All children will receive a skating lesson from a staff member at the ice skating rink. The children will be provided with a ‘penguin’ skating aid to give them stability and support.

Today Cheeky Monkeys are heading to RYDE Aquatic Centre on either a Cheeky Monkeys bus or Hire Bus depending on number of bookings. We’ll enjoy a picnic lunch at the centre. Children over 90cm are allowed to surf the surf rider, each session is 30 minutes in duration. In addition to Cheeky Monkeys staff, four lifeguards will be in attendance.

Pirates Mini Golf & Mona Vale Beach BBQ 1500 PIttwater Rd, Narrabeen & Apex Park, Mona ValeToday we’re going to Pirates of Mini Golf at Narrabeen in a Cheeky Monkeys bus. Children can either choose the Pirate or the Caves course. Afterwards we’ll make our way in a Cheeky Monkeys bus to Mona Vale Beach for a BBQ.

Skater HQ Berry Reserve 1395 Pittwater Road, NarrabeenToday Cheeky Monkeys are heading to Berry Reserve Narrabeen on a Cheeky Monkeys Bus to participate in roller blading, scooter riding and skate board riding. Children will be instructed by Skater HQ. All children receive appropriate padding (knee pads, elbow pads and helmet). In addition to Cheeky Monkeys staff, there will be two Skate Instructors with the group.

other wheeled activities carry a significant level of risk and can be dangerous. Risks may include (but

are not limited to) falls or collisions with other participants and/or equipment and fixed objects.

• I understand that Skater HQ and its employees take all reasonable care, but will not be held liable for

any injury, loss or damage that may be sustained howsoever caused.

• Each person must take all reasonable care when participating in these events including obeying the

safety instructions of Skater HQ Staff.

• Skater HQ reserves the right to remove a person from the event if they are deemed to be acting in a

7 By signing this document, you acknowledge, agree and understand that, to the full extent permitted by law (including by section 5J of the Civil Liability Act 2002 (WA), section 5N of the Civil Liability Act 2002 (NSW) and section 139A of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)):a. Your rights (or the rights of a person for whom or on whose behalf

you are acquiring the services) to sue the Service Provider, its servant and agents, in relation to the Recreational Activities if the Recreational Activities or associated services were not provided to you in accordance with any express or implied warranty or guarantee that the services will beb. You (or the person for whom or on whose behalf you are acquiring

the services) release the Service Provider, its servant and agents, from all liability for a failure to comply with any express or implied warranty or guarantee that the services will be provided with reasonable care and skill.

8 By signing this document, you acknowledge, agree and understand that, to the full extent permitted by law, the liability of the Service Provider in relation to recreational services (as that term is defined in the Australian Consumer Law (Clth) and any similar state laws) and recreational activities (as that term is defined in the Civil Liability Act 2002 (NSW) and/or in the Civil Liability Act 2002 (WA)) for any:

a. death;b. physical or mental injury (including the aggravation,acceleration

or recurrence of such an injury);c. the contraction, aggravation or acceleration of a disease;d. the coming into existence, the aggravation, acceleration or

recurrence of any other condition, circumstance, occurrence, activity, form of behaviour, course of conduct or state of affairs:

i. that is or may be harmful or disadvantageous to you or the community;ii. that may result in harm or disadvantage to you or the community;

that may be suffered by you (or a person for whom or on whose behalf you are acquiring the services) resulting from the supply of recreational services or recreational activities is excluded.

9 By signing this document, to the full extent permitted by law, you (or the person for whom or on whose behalf you are acquiring the services) agree to waive and/or release the Service Provider, its servants and agents, from any claim, right or cause of action which you or your heirs, successors, executors, administrators, agents and assigns might otherwise have against the Service Provider, its servant and agents, for or arising out of your death or physical or mental injury, disease, loss and damage, or economic loss of any description whatsoever which you may suffer or sustain in the course of or consequential upon or incidental to your participation in the Recreational Activities, whether caused by the negligence of the Service Provider, its servant and agents, or otherwise.

10 By signing this document, you acknowledge, agree and understand that:a. The Service Provider will permit you to participate in the Recreational

Activities, and provide you with the associated services, in part in consideration of you signing this document;

b. The Service Provider may rely on this document in any proceedings commenced in any Court by me or by my heirs, executors and assigns;

c. The law of New South Wales governs this document.11 You do not have to agree to exclude, restrict or modify or waive your

rights against, or release, the Service Provider, its servants and agents, from any claims by signing this document, however the Service Provider may refuse to allow you to participate in the Recreational Activities, or to provide you with the associated services, if you do not agree to exclude, restrict, modify or waive your rights against, or release, the Service Provider, its servants and agents, by signing this document. Even if you sign this document, you may still have further legal rights.

ECOLINE offers the possibility to take part in the activities of TREETOP ADVENTURE PARK AND TREETOP SAFARI where the enjoyment is derived in part from the inherent risk of participation. The company provides relevant safety/protective equipment and procedural instruction considered necessary for safe participation in such activities. The park is fully covered by public liability insurance. However, when established safety procedures are not followed, the risk associated in participating in such activities is increased.

Important: The equipment provided must be used according to the instructions given. Your signature on this form is required for you (meaning you and any children who are participating under your responsibility and whose name(s) have been written below) to participate in the activities offered at TreeTops.

It is strongly recommended that people with these conditions DO NOT participate.

• I do not suffer any illness, ailment or incapacity that may affect participation in such activities.

• I understand that the activities involve certain inherent risks and exposure to the natural elements.

• The company will rely on this declaration and is not responsible for my decision to participate in the activities.
