Introduction: -

The summer school was held within the scope of the Mechanical

Engineering Germany –Iraq (MEGI) project at the TU Bergakademie Freiberg

(MEGI is part of the German – Iraq Academic Partnership program of the German

academic exchange service (DAAD), and it was supervised by Dr. Abdulkader

Kadauw MEGI project coordinator. the summer school was to improve the

students’ knowledge in modeling basics.

Schedule of the summer school: -

First day: Introduction to MEGI and summer school by Dr.-Ing. Bertram

Hentschel, Ms. Manuela Junghans, and Dr.-Ing. Abdulkader Kadauw.

Second day: Lectures of planning experiments and Metal cutting

modeling and simulation by prof. DR.-Ing. Jurgen Bast, TU BAF and Dr.

Mohanned Al-Khafaji, UoT Bagdad.

Lab visits to Geotechnical engineering laboratory and 3D laboratory by

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Habil. Nandor Tamaskovics and DR.-Ing. Abdulkader

Kadauw.

Third day: lecture of fuzzy set theory and fuzzy logic by

Dr.abduljabbar,Uos Erbil and visiting to a wind turbine of halite

company including several meters of climbing inside the tower,

depending on weather condition (wind speed less than 7 m/s)

supervised by Dr-ing abdulkader kadauw & Dr.Mohammed Al-Fahaam.

Barbecue night.

Fourth day: visiting and teaching mine,,Reiche Zeche,, supervised by

Dr.Mohammed Al-Fahaam & MSc.Abdulamer Dheya lectures of

Building strain measuring Device based on Arduino microcontroller By

Dr.Mohammed Al-Khafaji,UoT Bagdad & lecture of Evaluation of the

residual stresses in advanced manufacting process using design of

experiment & finite element By Dr.Adel Mahmoud, diyala University

Fifth day: Training CAD-system /NX (NX 10 program) By Dr.-ing Thomas

Geipel

Sixth Day: Terra mineral collection

Seventh Day: Trip to Fortress Konigstein

Eight day: bowling supervised by: Dr.Mohammed Al-fahaam

Ninth Day: Training CAD-system /NX (NX 10 program) By Dr.-ing

Thomas Geipel.

Tenth Day: lecture of simulation in petroleum engineering & petroleum

engineering laboratory By Prof.Dr.M.Amro & MSc.Sarko Hakim

And visiting university library.

11thday: CNC lab and casting lab by, Mr.Hermann and Dr.Mohammed

Al-fahaam and MSc.Abdulamer Dheya

12th day: Evaluation and final meeting
