Summer Math

Summer Math is the IXL program. The web address is

www.ixl.com/signup/smsch. The skills, which will be noted with a yellow star,

will be available on Monday, June 11, 2018 after 3:00 P.M. Each student

should work the skill until a score of 90% is attained. Students will be graded

on the completion of all skills at a 90% rate.

THE REQUIREMENT FOR EACH STUDENT IS TO WORK ON THE

YELLOW-STARRED SKILLS OF THE GRADE THAT THERE WERE IN

THIS SCHOOL YEAR 2016-2017.

That means if

your child just completed kindergarten, he/she should do the yellow-

starred K skills

your child just completed 1st grade, he/she should do the yellow-starred

1st grade skills

your child just completed 2nd

grade, he/she should do the yellow-starred

2nd

grade skills

your child just completed 3rd

grade, he/she should do the yellow-starred

3rd

grade skills

your child just completed 4th

grade, he/she should do the yellow-starred

4th

grade skills

your child just completed 5th

grade, he/she should do the yellow-starred

5th

grade skills

your child just completed 6th

grade, he/she should do the yellow-starred

6th

grade skills

your child just completed 7th

grade, he/she should do the yellow-starred

7th

grade skills

The purpose of the math summer work is to assist the students in maintaining

their basic math skills. These are important building blocks to success in all
