Summer Internship
Total number of training hours must be at least 240
hours
If 8 hours/day → 30 working days
At least 6 full weeks. Generally, 2 months.
If you can work longer than 2 months, do it.

SIIT Regulation
Each student must be registered for ECS300 during the summer
The registration will be done by EC Office
Check that you have been correctly registered after the summer has begun.
Do not change the training place or strop training.
If problems occur, try to talk to your Supervisor and adjust yourself

Supervisor (not the student) evaluates and returns the signed form to SIIT within a week after the training has completed.
Six evaluated topics:
Application of Knowledge to the Assigned work:
Ability to perform/complete the assigned jobs and be able to apply knowledge to improve job performance
Responsibility
Conscientiousness (ความเอาใจใส่และความต ัง้ใจในการท างาน)
Promptness (ตรงต่อเวลา)
Adjustment to New Environment
Cooperation with Colleagues
To pass your internship, you cannot get “Fail” in any topics.
You should give this form to your Supervisor as early as possible and tell him the above criteria of no Fail.
Ask Supervisor to tell you ASAP if he/she thinks that you are failing in any topics, so that you can make improvement ASAP.

5. Final Report
Final report’s deadlines:
1st Round submission: Thursday in the 1st week of Semester 1
1st Result (pass or revise): 5 days after 1st submission
2nd Round submission (after revision): 1 week after 1st
submission
Final Result (pass or fail): 12 days after 1st submission. Failed final report means failing internship.
The submission is typically done with hard copies. However, this year submission via Google Classroom may be allowed. Check announcement in Classroom later.
How to be a good trainee?
Keep in mind that your supervisor(s) may be sometimes busy.
Be independent and work/study on your own.
Try your best to complete your assignment.
Get helps if needed.
Provide your supervisor with your progress report or presentation every 1-2 weeks.
Arrive work at the requested working time
If you cannot go to work, must notify supervisor by phone by yourself ASAP. Don’t just disappear.
During working time, use smart phone/web only if your work requires it.
Do not take a nap. If too sleepy, change activities, stand, wash your face, etc.
Keep notes (and photos, if permitted) of daily activities (time, place, job type, ideas, questions) for your report writing.
Put yourself in someone else’s shoes. เอาใจเขามาใส่ใจเรา
Have a service mind. Offer helps to people around you.
COVID19
Due to COVID19 and Social Distancing, many of you
will work from home
You may not interact much with other people in office,
but at least you’ll talk regularly to your Supervisor
