In the summer holidays, Reema and Neeru went to see a circus. Their uncle took them there. He bought the
tickets and they all entered the main hall. They occupied chairs in the first row. Soon, other people also
came. Reema and Neeru were happy to see smart girls swinging and performing acrobatics on ropes. They
were amused to see an elephant playing football. The clowns tricks made them laugh. They were afraid to
see the big lions roaring. Their uncle told them that the lions were tamed and would do no harm. There
were other animals like the zebra, the tiger and the camel which Reema had never seen before. When the
show was over, they returned home. Their uncle promised them a visit to the zoo next time where they
would see many more animals.

After-reading Activity After you have read the story, select seven major events that take place in the story. Draw each part in the
correct sequence on an A4 size sheet. Present your drawing when you come back to school.
