PaymentWooster Recreation Department accepts cash,checks (payable to the City of Wooster), Visa,
Mastercard or Discover as payment for program andfacility use fees. There will be a $25 fee assessedto all returned checks. Please, no cash by mail.
ResidencyResidents are considered those who live or workwithin the Wooster City limits. Non-Woosterresidents will pay the non-resident rate shown foreach program. Unless otherwise specified,registration for classes and activities is first-come,first-serve.
ScholarshipsYouth ScholarshipsCity of Wooster youth who qualify for free orreduced lunches are able to participate in recreationactivities at a reduced rate.In order for us to continue to provide this service, thefund must be replenished with donations from theWooster Community. Keep your donation in yourbackyard and assist a child with the cost ofregistration.
Senior Adult ScholarshipsSenior Adults (55+) who qualify may participate inactivities at a reduced rate.
Registration DeadlineRegistration deadline varies for each class. Pleasenote the registration deadline in this Brochure andon the registration forms. Classes not meetingminimum enrollment by the registration deadlinemay be cancelled.

Cancellations and RefundsWooster Recreation reserves the right tocancel/combine classes with insufficient registrationIf a class is cancelled, you will be notified prior to theclass and will receive a full refund, credit or transferto another class.To cancel a registration, call (330)263-5207 at leas5 business days before the program begins.Refunds, transfers or credits will only be issued ifthe participant cancels a minimum of 5 days inadvance. Refunds, less a $7 processing fee, areprocessed within three weeks. NO REFUNDS aregiven after a class has begun.
Full Classes & Wait ListsThe online system will automatically showcustomers when a class reaches maximumenrollment. In select instances, a wait list option wilallow patrons to sign up in case of cancellations oran added session. You will only be contacted ifthere is an opening! PLEASE NOTE that your creditcard WILL be charged when you add your name thewaitlist online. This is non-refundable if we are notable to register you for the class. Please call(330)263-5207 to be placed on a waitlist withoutcharge.

Children who are a resident of the City of Wooster and receive free or reduced lunches may purchase a youth pass at a
discounted rate ($20) through June 1 by submitting a copy of the acceptance letter from the schools prior to purchasing the pass.
- Season pass holders will be admitted prior to daily cash paying customers @ opening time.
Adult season pass holders will be given admission from 11:45a.m. to
0p.m. weekdays for lap swimming, aquacize and sunbathing. Freedlander pool opens to the general public at0p.m. on weekdays.

WSA is a non-profit, volunteer organization that works in cooperationwith the Wooster Recreation Department to encourage and support participation in soccer. WSA strives to providparticipants with experiences that build confidence, good health, team spirit, and civic responsibility. Our goal is treach high standards of good sportsmanship and proficiency in soccer skills. We also wish to foster a sense ofmutual support and respect throughout Wayne Countys soccer community (recreational, traveling, high school,
and college leagues).
The Wooster Recreation Department organizes clinics for various ages at differenttimes of the year. The association supports and organizes outdoor recreational soccer leagues for children
beginning at Preschool and continuing through High School. The association also supports and organizestraveling soccer teams for ages 10 to 13 (U10-U14). Participation in traveling soccer is at the invitation of thecoach, and tryouts will be announced when new teams are forming. It is expected that all traveling players willhave participated in at least one season of recreational league play before joining a traveling team.

Recreational games are played at the Soccer Complex on Burbank Rd. traveling teams play in the Northern Ohiogion and may travel up to 60 miles for games. Wooster High games are played at Follis Field (and away) and College of Wooster games areayed at the College campus (and away).

The Friends of Wooster Memorial Park invites you toenjoy the beauty of Wooster Memorial Park. These publicevents are sponsored by the Wooster Parks Department andare led by Friends of Wooster Memorial Park volunteers.Children must be accompanied by an adult. All eventswill begin at the Silver Road parking lot. Registration is not required, but groupsshould contact the Community Center ahead of time (330-263-5207).
Participants should wear sturdy footwear. Bring water, insect repellent, and anything else

Wooster Memorial Park is a riot of blooms from the middle of April and into May. One of our residentbotanists will lead the walk on Sunday, April 22nd at 2:00 PM, to some of the best concentrations ofspring wildflowers. An additional bonus on this before the leaves are out walk is the spectacularview of the Rathburn Run ravine.
Although this is also a spring wildflower walk, the display of wildflowers will be different. In the twoweeks since the first spring wildflower walk, a whole new selection of wildflowers will be in bloom fowalkers to enjoy. Do come out to Wooster Memorial Park on Sunday, May 6th at 2:00 PM and seewhat Wooster Memorial Park has to show. One of our resident botanists will lead this walk.
Wooster Memorial Park has wildflowers in the summer, too. With all the leaves out, we sometimes
forget to notice these wildflowers, but they are there waiting to be enjoyed. One of our residentbotanists will lead this walk on Sunday, June 10th at 2:00 PM.
A few years ago a prairie was planted at Wooster Memorial Park. It has created quite a show inAugust, and into September. The brilliance of colors against the tree foliage is impressive. Althoughthis will be a wildflower walk, the birds that are also enjoying the prairie flowers are great to watch,too. Do come out to the Park on Sunday, August 12th at 2:00 PM for a walk led by one of our residenbotanists.

Obtain an application form at the Municipal Buildingat 538 N. Market St. or Wooster Community Centerat 241 S Bever St.Complete the application and mail or deliver to theCommunity Center.
Proof of low income status is required with thecompleted application.
Individuals will be notified of qualification by phone
within 10 days of submission.*Applicants who wish to stay on the program may re-apply within one month of their expiration date ontheir Taxi I.D. card. A new application with proof oflow income status must be submitted to remaineligible for the program.
Get your Taxi Photo Identification (I.D.) card from theWooster Community Center. Free of Charge. If lost$3 extra charge.
Bring your Taxi Photo Identification(I.D.) card to the Municipal Building. You maypurchase taxi passes in quantities desired.

(Individuals who do not qualify for thebsidized program may still use the various transportation services at full fare).
