World Autism Awareness Week 2019

The sun did shine and we were loud and proud about autism! It was lovely to see so many of you at our event in Oxford city centre, as well as the public joining in. Here’s some of what we got up to:

Thank you to everyone who helped & participated. Special thanks to: Jamie Stewart for the PA System, New Road Baptist Church for the use of space, Wacky Wardrobe for costumes, Sinead

and the team at the Westgate Centre, the staff at Lush, Stu Allsop for photographs, and our young people Molly, Jack, Jamie, and Zak for helping on the day.

We could not have done it without you!

Drumming The rhythm & beats of African drumming drew in the crowds and created a fantastic vibe and fun for children, families & the public. Special thanks to Daniel Sowah and Jonas Torrance for leading the workshops.

Busking A line up of music and singing kept our feet

tapping! Thanks to our singers and musicians:

Matt Russ Louise McCarthy

Callum Harris Craig Harris

The Dollymops Grace & Jamie Stewart

Fundraising We raised an awesome

£1,231 from tin

shaking, face painting, and busking. A HUGE thank you to ALL our tin shakers.

Face Painting Thank you to Lapis Lizards for

creative face painting and glitter tattoos – adding colour and

sparkle to the day!

trying to beat the clock to build the actual Tetris wall!
