Join a new band of heroes and heroines, discover stories from around the globe, and embark on an original quest that you help write. In this two-week camp, students will attend classes in acting, dance, and voice. Using stories from around the world, songs from magical musicals, and dances yet to be forged, students will create an original show with myths and stories that will surely become the legends of tomorrow.

Production Camp: SEUSSICAL KIDSProduction Camp: SEUSSICAL KIDSFollow the Cat in the Hat and Jojo as they tell the journey of Horton as he finds himself the sole caretaker of the Whos who live on a tiny speck of dust. Before long, he finds himself the unlikely babysitter for an abandoned egg. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant! This camp is a one-week immersion in performing in a musical production that will take you

from auditions to your opening performance.

Production Camp: DISNEY’S JUNGLE BOOK KIDSProduction Camp: DISNEY’S JUNGLE BOOK KIDSThe jungle is jumpin’ with a jazzy beat! Adapted from the classic Disney animated film, Disney’s The Jungle Book KIDS features a host of colorful characters and your favorite songs from the animated movie. Banished by the ferocious tiger, Shere Khan, a human boy named Mowgli and his panther friend, Bagheera, are on the run in the deepest parts of the jungle. When Shere Khan returns, our heroes must rally their fellow animals into battle and restore peace throughout the jungle. This camp is a one-week immersion in performing in a musical production that will take you from auditions to your

opening performance.

Acting is about discipline, rigor, and imagination. Work with professional actors and directors in a series of classes created to focus, grow, and strengthen your acting skills. In this two-week intensive, students will attend classes that focus on scene acting, monologue writing, movement, improvisation, text analysis, audition techniques and more. In addition to the core acting classes, students will attend scene workshops where they will work on writing original scenes to

put their acting skills to the test.

june 15-26 | mon-fri 9:00am-5:00pm | $500

Musical theatre challenges the performer to tell stories through acting, singing, and dancing. In this two-week intensive, students will attend classes in jazz/musical theatre dance, tap, lyrical/ballet, vocal technique, writing for the stage, choreography, and more. Work on your dance technique, vocal endurance, and characterization as you learn a variety of classic and contemporary musical performances. Classes will have a beginner’s and intermediate/advanced track to help us meet each student at their level for

best artistic growth.

july 6-17 | mon-fri 9:00am-5:00pm | $500

Technical theatre and design is the backbone of each theatrical production. Work with Playhouse on the Square’s designers and guest artists as you learn the skills needed to be a theatrical designer and technician. In this two-week intensive, students will create their own design concepts of a production and will attend workshops and lectures in design, stage management, production development, and more which culminates in a Tech Olympics and Open House display of designs. In addition, students will learn the basics of costume sewing, sound design, set construction, and other elements of technical theatre. Parents/Guardians will need to sign an additional waiver to approve

their student using/interacting with tools and equipment.
