Letter from Brookhaven Parks & Recreation Director

Welcome to the City of Brookhaven Parks and Recreation Department activity guide! I hope you will take the time to browse the many activities and programs we have to offer your family this summer! Our job is to provide recreational opportunities for the community by offering youth and adult sports, recreation program classes, opportunities to attend special events, play in your parks and enjoy the greenspace. BPRD is very proud of the partnerships we have established in the community such as the Metro Atlanta YMCA, Recreational Equipment Inc. (REI), Elevate Sports Academy, GO Kickball, Creative Movement and Dance, Murphey Candler Little League, Murphey Candler Girls Softball Association, Atlanta Colt Youth Association, Concorde Fire Soccer Club and Universal Tennis Management.

Please take the time to get involved in our community by participating in a recreation program, signing up for an athletic league, or simply riding a bike and taking a stroll through the parks. BPRD now has a Park Advisory Committee and I encourage everyone to get to know each of them. As we move forward with new and exciting activities, it is my goal that we strive to always improve you and your families’ experience here in Brookhaven. We also offer many volunteer opportunities to assist in programs, athletics and special events.

Thank you for visiting our parks and getting involved. I look forward to continuing to build a quality Parks and Recreation Department for the citizens of Brookhaven. Now is the time to “Play in Brookhaven”!
