Mission Statement

The Shrewsbury Parks and Recreation Department will provide well-rounded, quality programs and significant resources by anticipating and responding to customer needs, while enhancing the sense of a close safe community for all current and future participants.

Americans with Disabilities Act

We encourage people of all abilities to participate in the programs and to use the facilities we offer. If a program modification will make an activity accessible for you or a family member, our staff will be happy to speak with you to make the necessary accommodations. Please do not hesitate to let us know how we can help you enjoy your experience.

JOIN THE SHREWSBURIANS! We invite all Shrewsbury residents ages 55 and older to come socialize

with others in the community! We offer the opportunity to hear the mayor speak and answer questions, learn

about upcoming day trips and activities, enjoy entertainment and refreshments. We also celebrate major holidays

with our wonderful catered lunches. This is a city-sponsored organization with minimal dues .

Meetings are held the second Monday of each month at 12 noon. Contact the City Center 314-647-1003.
