In Gujarat, Navratri is a community event, where people perform Garbas on devotional songs that are popular by the names of 'Dandiya Raas' and 'Garba Raas', and perform Jaagran (waking through the night), to please the Goddess. Gujarat, is a favorite pilgrim for devotees, during Navratri. On this occasion, Veerayatan Institute of Engineering & Veerayatan Polytechnic jointly organized Navratri Celebration on 28 th September’ 2017 between 09.30 am to 01.00 pm which was co- ordinated by cultural coordinators. Summary Report on

“Navratri Celebration”

On 28 th

September, 2017

Navratri is a Hindu festival celebrated in the autumn every year. It is observed for various reasons

and celebrated differently in various parts of the Indian subcontinent.

In Gujarat, Navratri is a community event, where people perform Garbas on devotional songs that

are popular by the names of 'Dandiya Raas' and 'Garba Raas', and perform Jaagran (waking through

the night), to please the Goddess. Gujarat, is a favorite pilgrim for devotees, during Navratri.

On this occasion, Veerayatan Institute of Engineering & Veerayatan Polytechnic jointly organized

Navratri Celebration on 28th

September’ 2017 between 09.30 am to 01.00 pm which was co-

All the Students, Faculty and Staff Members of VIE and VP, Haripar were invited to attend the

event.

The event was well attended by all the enthusiastic students, faculty and staff members in

traditional grooming. Students decorated aarti thali and coordinated the activities to make the event

successful.

Students and faculties playing garba with full joy and cheer.

All of them celebrated the day with joy and cheer. It was a colorful event with teachers joining the

students enthusiastically in their dance.

The positivity and energy exuberating out of the colorful costumes combined with the enthusiasm of

dancing to the dandia folk songs made the entire day extremely successful and fruitful.

The navrotsav event became an excellent example of celebration of tradition with joy and fervour at

its fullest along with the discipline of students.

Hon’ble Director and Member Managing Committee, made special facilitation of the event with the

availability of instruments.

We Would Specially Like to thank Veerayatan Management Chair Person Param Pujya

Sadhvi Shri Shilapiji Maharaj Saheb, Our Administrator Mr. Anil Jain Sir without their
