Summary of Assessment: I created my workshop using Google sites and shared it with two schools, only one of which I was asking for evaluation forms to be submitted. I knew that not everyone would access the module or fill out the evaluation so I wanted to make sure I did know the ones who had followed through with the staff development. I had 10 participants. I created the Evaluation form in the Google forms and the results were submitted back to me once completed. Participants sent me e-mails if they had any questions, suggestions or ideas. Before sharing the site URL with the participants I had a Media Specialist access the module for any recommendations. She recommended that on each page to have a link with the attachment for instructions that the participants could save or print. I had created a page and embedded the handouts but the additional link seemed to be easier for the participants to have at hand. Participants also answered questions using a canvas that was set up on Lino. All the participants seemed to enjoy using this tool. I believe that the face to face was better accepted by participants as we were able to have full discussions on issues that they were having and how they felt this site could be used in their classrooms. With the online staff workshop I had no way of knowing how many people were accessing the module and I wasn’t sure how many would actually complete the whole module as well as submit the evaluation form. The following comments I received regarding the online staff development workshop:

Summary of Assessment:

I created my workshop using Google sites and shared it with two schools, only one of which I was asking for evaluation forms to be submitted. I knew that not everyone would access the module or fill out the evaluation so I wanted to make sure I did know the ones who had followed through with the staff development. I had 10 participants.

I believe that the face to face was better accepted by participants as we were able to have full discussions on issues that they were having and how they felt this site could be used in their classrooms. With the online staff workshop I had no way of knowing how many people were accessing the module and I wasnt sure how many would actually complete the whole module as well as submit the evaluation form. The following comments I received regarding the online staff development workshop:-Enjoyed being able to complete this module on my own time.-Quick and easy to follow-A link for the hand outs on each page would be useful- Thank you for creating these tutorials.
