COTTM’09 welcomed a recordnumber of visitors to the only B2Boutbound travel show in China!

This year’s China Outbound Travel & TourismMarket, (COTTM) recently held its fifth annualevent in Beijing and was pleased to welcome arecord number of visitors to it’s exhibition! Visitornumbers were up nearly 5% to 3,258 for thisincreasingly popular and successful show.

Over 200 Exhibitors from more than 50 countriesattended to showcase their countries, products andservices to a high number of Chinese hosted buyers,who were keen to secure the best destinations andservices for the Chinese outbound market. COTTMis a proven unrivalled platform for internationalcompanies to introduce themselves to the Chineseoutbound travel industry.

COTTM is supported by a wide range of tradeassociations such as the National Tour Association,the Pacific Asia Travel Association and theEuropean Tour Operators Association, as well asnumerous Chinese and international mediapartners. COTTM is also partnered with numerousChinese top tour operators, including Air China

CHINESE OUTBOUND TOURISM

Chinese tourists made 45.8 million outbound tripsin 2008, up 11.9 percent from 2007, as theappreciation of the yuan against most othercurrencies raised their purchasing power.

The World Tourism Organisation predicts thatChina will be the 4th largest source of outboundtourists by 2020 with a predicted 100 milliontravellers per year.
