Suggestions To Avoid Challenges In The Mining Industry Mining is a highly developed industry with multiple chains of operations, thoroughly processed and highly motivated by external elements (denoting weather to commodity prices).Apart from the in-built threats, there are various other dominant threats which have become the topic of debate within the mining industry which incorporates engaging of the skilled workers, water management, and regulations as well as declining of grade and quality. Aging workforce/Engaging skilled workers As per the latest research done by SME, i.e. Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration, the pattern of workforce in the mining industry has been tremendously increasing due to the large number of retirements. From yet another review, from the Department of Mining Engineering, approximately 140 engineers are being graduated per year in the US. Nevertheless, in order to meet with the market demand, probably 300 new graduates are required to fulfill the future requirement. In order to draw current professionals to the industry and inspire the students to seek education in mining services requires contacts from different locations and partnerships extending from technical teams, human resources, public relations, schools, suppliers and R&D. Ultimately, the main purpose for mining services industry is to exhibit itself as deserving and impressive in expanding its progress. Water This being the basic requirement in the mining services industry, its importance is flourishing aggressively. Numerically, according to USGS, in the year 2005, around 4,020 million gallon per day was required for the purpose of mining, which equals to only 1% of the total utility of water.

The following are the points of concern about water in mining services Availability Few mines takes place where there is water scarcity and hence the mining operations are done using sea water by removing salt from it in order to get rid of the prevailing threats.

The method of affiliation is required as the models should account for consideration of sources (ground water, surface water, and public supply), complete water usage and external factor patterns. Important Sectors Topics like tailings management and AMD (Acid Mine Drainage) demand more attention as well as the mining process with such functions become more complicated. Regulations Harsh and severe rules or acts will demand for keeping better check on water track, quality control, controlling infection and mine closure strategy. Conclusion
