Each student receives on fish bowl card and counts the number of fish in the bowl. This is the number they will be solving for. The subtraction sentence cards are spread out, face down, in the middle of the table. 2. A player chooses a subtraction sentence card from the middle of the table and solves it (using manipulatives if necessary). If the amount of fish in his fish bowl matches the answer to the subtraction sentence, he may keep the card. If not, he must return the card to the middle of the table. 3. The winner is the first student to find all 6 subtraction sentence cards to match his fish bowl. Note: for advanced students, use the fish bowls with 5 or more fish and the matching cards. For students just beginning subtraction, use the fish bowls with 4 or fewer fish and the matching cards.

To Play:

1. Each student receives on fish bowl card and counts the number of fish in the

bowl. This is the number they will be solving for. The subtraction sentence cards
