Exothermic ConnectionsProperly installed exothermic connections are essential to the grid integrity and system reliability for the life of the substation, as well as ensuring safe conditions for workers and the general public.

ULTRASH T® • The patented electric ignition system, produces a high quality connection while eliminating the inconsistencies associated with using the old starting powder process. The elimination of
the starting powder has also been shown to reduce emissions and extend mold life.
• New UltraShot Controller uses an 18v Milwaukee lithium ion battery that makes it easier to charge and use.
• The system provides superior safety by allowing the user to maintain a safe distance from the reaction during ignition.
• Reduces labor and material costs due to misfi res.
• Uses the traditional method of ignition with starting powder.
