The A.S. Degree in Registered Nursing (ADN-RN) focuses on the nursing process; pharmacology; nursing care for adult, pediatric, aged, and pregnant patients in healthy states as well as with disorders and disease states; leadership and management for the registered nurse; as well as issues and trends that affect the professional registered nurse including career management. Applications are accepted July 1 to October 1 each year. CLASS TIMES: Classes meet three days a week. Clinical rotation hours vary. Additional days for clinical hours may be required each week. CERTIFICATION: Successful completion of the A.S. Degree in Registered Nursing prepares graduates to take the National Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). A passing score on this exam and registration with the Florida State Board of Nursing enables graduates to seek employment as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Florida.
