- Uses conventional technologies associated with LED, various sensors

- Improves the efficiency of LED-based services and applications (tracking, monitoring, smart lighting, control, etc.)

• Key issue in the LED-based tracking and monitoring

• It is possible to provide a seamless service based on LED lighting using object tracking technology

• Sensors for object tracking : image sensor, ultrasonic sensor, infrared sensor, RF sensor, etc.

• Additionally, lighting and dimming control is possible by control of R, G, B components

• Associated technologies : smart device monitoring and alarm, LED tracking, sensing and detection, other sensor

• Be composed based on web for the access of smart device

• By using smart devices, Monitoring and LED control is possible

• Separated devices for monitoring are not necessary

• Monitoring is simply possible using a smart device’s applications

User can be provided to monitoring service by simply accessing the web server using the smart device.

Examples for Monitoring Application using Smart Devices

• Can monitor the LED tracking result and LED states(On-Off, Dimming, color, etc.)

• Can control the LED light(R,G,B / dimming) and angle

• Possible to converge other smart service : alarm, push message, social network service

User can be provided with monitoring and LED control services by simply accessing the web server using the smart device.

Conclusion

- Synergy from the convergence of various technologies (LED, monitoring, tracking, smart device, sensor)

- Various advantages of the LED-based tracking & monitoring system

- Trade-offs in the design of the LED-based tracking & monitoring

- The LED-based tracking & monitoring system is possible to have high-efficiency, high-performance and high-coverage

- More researches are needed for the further development of LED-based technologies
