Background
The College has long recognised over very many years a need to provide vocational pathways and options for its students
Introduction and development of VET programs construction of a Trade Training Centre and RTO establishment
Establishment and development of the VCAL program to Year 11 and 12 students The establishment of a unique, non mainstream, vocationally based Year 10 program The placement of its Pathways and VCAL Programs at our Preston Campus
Pathways from Edmund Rice Pathways Program (ERPP)
Only Pathway from ERPP is to VCAL. VCE is not an option after ERPP.
The VCAL Sport Academy would only be an option in exceptional circumstances and only after demonstrating consistent high achievement in ERPP
A wide range of training options will be available to apply for after ERPP

ERPP and VET Training
Students access Edmund Rice Trade Training Centre (Bundoora Campus)
One Full day 7.30am -3.15pm (Carpentry)
Plus
One other day 7.30am -1.00pm (Bricklaying or Furnishings) at the Trade Training Centre Bundoora.
3 Days at the Preston Campus for School Program and timetabled classes
ERPP and Work Experience
Strong emphasis on developing employability skills through extended work experience
The last 2 weeks of Terms 1, 2 and 3 are set aside for organised work experience as well as a further block in Term 4. A maximum of 40 days work experience per year is allowed for in the program.Both work experience and community action are compulsory and integrated into the Pathways curriculum
Students wishing to undertake Pathways may be invited to apply via their House Leader or apply with House Leader, Tutor Teacher support
There are limited places in the Program
Selection criteria for the program is based on student attitude, behaviour and effort over the 4 terms of Year 9. Additionally the ability to meet all requirements of the program.
How to Apply
To apply
-students need to complete an Expression of Interest Form and return it to Student Services Bundoora Campus or Reception at the Preston Campus
-An interview will be arranged where applicant and parents/guardians will meet with either Mr Jacob Williams or Mr John Nicholls at a convenient time in Term 3At the interview students will be required to bring a copy of their mid year report and Referee Statement Document
