Society's narrow definition of what it means to "be a man" is creating a host of unintended consequences for young men as individuals and for our society as a whole. The Mask You Live In exposes the problem and confronts it head on, as experts in neuroscience, psychology, sociology, sports, education, and media, as well as boys and young men themselves, weigh in to present evidence of what some are calling, "the boy crisis" and how to combat it. The "Many Faces" potluck is one of two large JLS PTAevents that bring the community together, and it is the samenight as the JLS Open House. So help out if you can, andgrab some dinner at the potluck before you head to yourstudent's classrooms to review your student's learning andaccomplishments. JLS Track Coaches Needed! JLS Track and Field team is looking for a few assistant coaches ­­ high schoolers orparents ­ paid or volunteer. If you're interested, contact Kelly Calica.

HOMEWORK HABITATHomework Habitat and late bus service occur during regular (e.g. non­early­release) Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays.

Homework Habitat occurs in the library and runs 3:15­4:25. The late bus will depart from the main parking lot atapproximately 4:30. Please note that students who leave campus after school are not permitted to return to JLS to ride thelate bus home; they must find alternative transportation.
