The rationale behind subject structure
Objective
• Provide students an opportunity to ‘learn by doing’
in terms of participating in practical construction
work; and
• Provide students with knowledge of principles and
techniques of construction drawing both manually
or using AutoCAD as a CAD tool and enable them
to appreciate the use of engineering drawings as a
communication medium in the construction
industry.

* It is the student’s responsibility to take timely remedy action. The deadline for remedy actions is 10 days before result finalization deadline of the subject concerned.+ IC will give students taken approved leave the first priority when offering make-up places. IC makes no guarantee that student could complete make-up 10 days before result finalization deadline.
Assignment submission requirements and
deadlinesModule Component Report
• For every workshop in which students undertake training, they are required to submit a Module Component Report in their own hand-writing on the special A4 paper forms, unless otherwise specified by your instructors. https://www.polyu.edu.hk/ic/lt/pdf/DS/IC-T13%20Module%20Component%20Report.pdf
• You are required to submit each Module Component Report within ONE week after completing the training module to the workshop supervisor in GROUP via your group representative.

will be required to make up the incomplete training
and/or to resubmit the failed exercise or
assignment.
• Late submission or resubmission may be awarded
the LOWEST PASS grade.
Subject Fail and Incompletion
• IC adopted hands-on learning style and
outcome-based assessment approach.
• If you conduct yourself in a diligent and
participative manner, there is no reason why you
should fail any element of your IC learning.
• If you omit some the assessments, you must
take remedy actions promptly, otherwise you will
