dryer above the brush, directing the heat down and in the opposite di-rection of your natural part. Next, dry the sides in two sec-tions; pull the brush up, then roll down for volume on top. Smooth out sections on the bottom layer for a modern look. The crown area should be pulled forward with the brush then rolled back and left in the hair to cool down. Shake hair and, using your cool button on your dryer, blow hair in different direc-tions to make it appear fun and flirty. Using a little Redken Rough Paste on your fingertips, tousle hair and mold in place. Spray hair with Kenra Perfect Medium Hold Spray to finish.

5-MINUTE LOOK Apply TIGI Catwalk Strong Mousse and blowdry bangs, in the opposite direction. Use an Ibiza Boar Bristle Brush to smooth hair into a low ponytail. Dress up the ponytail with a thin headband (with bangs to the side), or skip the drying altogether and simply hold all hair back with a headband. Soft-en your look by simply adding large, fun earrings.

The LookA good choice of haircut for a working mom is “an angled bob with long layers and a side bang,” says Qadria Kai-sken Sabil, mas-ter stylist at Jon David Salon. Kai-sken says this look is a no-brainer. “It’s a traditional cut that is versatile. It can be styled in a sleek sophisticat-ed look, or edgy and modern.”

FOR DAY Any working mom will tell you her hairstyle should be modern, yet easy to style in a short amount of time. For daytime, keep it simple. Moms can add a feminine touch to their hair by wearing a color-ful headband. Alternatively, “add-ing a braid on one side of your hair will keep it off your face and look-ing polished while at work or at the park with your kids,” Kaisken Sabil says. To further simplify the look, Kaisken Sabil recommends twist-ing “hair back using Redken Rough Paste and two pins in a crisscross position to hold it in place.”

FOR NIGHT Pair hair with bigger and bolder accessories, and remem-ber that any woman can benefit by parting hair on the side to create a more dramatic look on any face shape. Then “tease the crown, and spray hair with TIGI Your Highness Weightless Shine Spray,” Kaisken Sabil suggests. “This will lock it in place and give it brilliant shine. Add a funky headband, or just leave it like it is.”

30-MINUTE LOOK For fine hair, Kai-sken Sabil recommends starting by washing and conditioning hair with Addbody Shampoo and Condition-er by J Beverly Hills.
