Thank you for purchasing Styles Set #51, with 20 great new “Brit 80s Rock-2” styles for Band-in-a-Box.

Let’s face it, the second British Rock invasion, in the 1980s, yielded far too many mega hit grooves to be covered in just one styles disk. That’s why we’ve created this great new Styles Set #51 (a continuation of Styles Set #49) “Brit 80s Rock-2”, with 20 all-new styles.

Inspired by the grooves and sounds that came out of the British Rock groups of the 1980s, the styles in “Brit 80s

Rock-2” cover rhythmic feels like; slow, medium and fast tempos; even and swung 8th and 16ths; ballads, Rock-Latin, Reggae, Rock-Country, Rock-Jazz, Rock-Blues and more.

These styles Rock! You’ll find styles to cover many rhythmic feels and tempos – like; COPPERS2.STY, BOWEY3.STY, BOYG_LAT.STY, CLASHIN1.STY, CULTIST1.STY, DAVIDB2.STY, DEF3.STY, DIREFAST.STY, GENIS2.STY, GEORGEM2.STY, GUMSHOE.STY, QUEENY2.STY, SADEE2.STY, TUXROK1.STY and more. This Styles Set will be a great addition to your style collection. Please note: Effects like reverb, chorus and panning are not embedded in a Style. These settings should be set and saved with the tune from the main song page and we encourage you to do so – especially for Pop, Rock and Country genres. Guitars, Strings, El. Pianos, el. basses and drums can be greatly enhanced with these effects. Remember to save your tune with these settings (Alt-F2).

Please see the following pages for complete styles descriptions. Here is an easy way to check out these new styles and demos. Open any style in the Styles51 folder, then, use the

Jukebox to audition the demos and styles. Tip: Uncheck ‘Change Melody instrument’. Here’s another way to check out the styles: Press the “STY” button to get to the “select style” window. If you

scroll to the end of the categories list on the left, you can select the “Brit 80s Rock-2 51” category, then highlight the individual styles and press the “Load song demo button.” It’s a good idea to un-check the “Auto-change Melody instrument” so that you’ll hear the correct demo melody instrument. You can also sort the styles by Styles Set number if you like. More detailed information about each style is available by pressing the Memo button of the Demo tune.

The Demo tunes for these styles follow the same naming convention as the styles themselves. For example, the

DEMO song for BOWEY3.STY is BOWEY3.MGU.
