EDUCATION SYSTEM IN SLOVAKIA
HIGHER EDUCATION SYSTEM HEIs provide study programmes at 3 levels:
Bachelor study programme (3 years at least and 4 years at most – in the case of architecture, fine art and design);
Master study programme (“Master”,
“Engineer” and “Doctor” study programme) – 1 year at least and 3 years at most;
PhD study programme – the standard duration of study in full-time form is 3 years at least and 4 years at most.

OF THE SLOVAK REPUBLIC
WHO CAN APPLY?
foreign university students interested in a study stay at Slovak universities during their Master (graduate) studies (duration 1 – 2 semesters)
monthly scholarship: 350 €
WHO CAN APPLY?
foreign PhD students interested in a study and/or research stay at Slovak universities or research organisations during their PhD studies (duration 1 – 12 months)
monthly scholarship: 580 €
WHO CAN APPLY?
foreign university teachers, researchers and artists interested in a teaching, research or artistic stay at Slovak universities or research organisations (duration 1 – 12 months)
monthly scholarship: 580 €, 850 € or 1,000 €
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
Ø Curriculum Vitae; Ø motivation letter; Ø detailed study/research/teaching programme; Ø in case of university students: 2 recommendation
letters provided by applicant’s university teachers/in case of PhD students: 1 recommendation letter provided by applicant’s dissertation supervisor;
Ø in case of university students and PhD students confirmation on studies;
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
Ø scan of a diploma with the highest academic degree achieved;
Ø list of publications; Ø admission or invitation letter from a host
university or research organisation in Slovakia proclaiming commitment to accept the applicant for a study, research, teaching or artistic stay (including the period of stay).

SCHOLARSHIPS OF THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION, SCIENCE, RESEARCH AND SPORT
