Methodology

- Based on real expenditures sampled for operating and investement costs.

- Plus three categories of expenditures specific for islands :- Transport costs (mainly maritime transport).- Costs you can’t share with other municipalities because you are on an island (ex

dumpster).- Costs links to services (ex house for teachers).l average for similar size

Investment situation

- From 2008 to 2013, for the 16 communities, average investment was 8.68 M€/year

- For each investment, the average site installation cost was + 38%

- The total overcost per year for investment is 2,4 M€.
