We’ve seen David go from being an obscure shepherd in the hills of Bethlehem to the king of Israel, and it’s been a wild ride. We’ve seen him at his best and at his worst. But his story is more than just an entertaining tale from long ago, it’s meant to be instructive for us today. As we conclude our study on David’s life, we’ll reflect on some key lessons for us as we pursue God in our own lives. 1. Why do you think we are so drawn to the character of David? What makes us connect to him? 2. Is it possible to hear stories about Bible characters like David and be entertained but not transformed? Why or why not? 3. What has been the biggest lesson that God has taught you through our study in the life of David? 4. What might it look like for you to apply that lesson to your life?

    LOOKING AHEAD

Pursuit: David, A Man and His God Learning From A Complicated Life

Were approaching the end of the story. Weve seen David go from being an obscure shepherd in the hills of Bethlehem to the king of Israel, and its been a wild ride. Weve seen him at his best and at his worst. But his story is more than just an entertaining tale from long ago, its meant to be instructive for us today. As we conclude our study on Davids life, well reflect on some key lessons for us as we pursue God in our own lives.

    1. Why do you think we are so drawn to the character of David? What makes us connect to him?

    2. Is it possible to hear stories about Bible characters like David and be entertained but not

    transformed? Why or why not?

    3. What has been the biggest lesson that God has taught you through our study in the life of David?

    4. What might it look like for you to apply that lesson to your life?
