About Us

Diversity Learning Institute (DLI Germany), soon Central Hamburg University-CHU, was founded in 2010 in the city of Hamburg in Germany. The initial purpose of its founding was to offer German language in underdeveloped countries where a lot of migrants showed interest to visit Germany for various reasons, such as tourism, business, further studies and marriage.

Later on DLI Germany climbed up another ladder by introducing other programs like the Education Exchange Program (EEP), Study in Germany Affordably (SiGA), Professional English for You (PEfY) for Germans and German companies, and more.

In 2015 DLI opened another department called Get Your Way (GYW) – a refugees project which teaches German and intercultural training to refugees. Furthermore, we offer a lot of consultancies to them which include studying working in Germany, integration issues, etc.

Currently, we have added more programs which include Cambridge International AS & A Levels, Associate degrees, Undergraduate, Masters and PhD programs in cooperation with our partner universities in England, Germany, Poland, Ukraine and the United States.

Our main objective is to offer internationally recognized and affordable tertiary education to the underdeveloped nations with full practical exposure to Germany.

All of the above mentioned achievements and implementations have been made possibleby our team members from different backgrounds and nationalities based in Germany, Zambia, Poland, Ukraine, England, the USA, and Ghana.

DLI takes keen interest in Social work. We take care of the orphans and the street kids in Africa through our partner the Twikatane Germany NGO.

A. University Foundation Course (UFC)

Designed for the school leavers and would like to pursue a degree course. The UFC takes specific subjects according to the student's future bachelor degree.

Classes Type: UFC has got two different specialized streams or pathways: humanities/business and the sciences. Each stream has a maximum of 4 to 5 subjects.Duration: 6 months intensive / 9 months standard

Application / Registration Fee: €500,00Tuition Fee Per Semester of 5 - 6 months: €6,000.00Examinations Fees: Will be announced 3 months before the final exams.

B. Cambridge International AS & A-Levels

Offered in Hamburg, one of the most beautiful and popular cities in Germany. Studentscan choose between two different streams, the Science Stream and the Business/Humanities Stream. In each stream they have to take 3 or 4 subjects. (one AS subject) of their choosing that pertains to the program they intend to pursue atuniversity.

Application / Registration Fee: €500,00

Tuition Fee Per Semester of of 5 to 6 months: €6,000.00

Examinations Fees: Will be announced 3 months before the final exams.

Course Duration: AS Levels 1 year / A Levels, 1.5 years

Important About the Bank Blocked Account (BBA):All international students who have no proven sponsored-guardianship in Germany must have a sum of 8,640 Euros deposited in a German bank as block account.The fee is valid for 1 year, and meant for the following purposes; student’s apartment, city transport, meals, health insurance, etc.

There will be no study visa without the BBA!

(C ) Language Preparation for University

We offer the university entry language preparations in various languages.

The certification at the end of of the course is internationally recognized and accepted by all the universities in Germany and world over.

Languages: English; German; French; Spanish; and more!

Levels: A1 to TestDaf, or any other highest level.

Tuition Fees: €2,990.00 per level of 8 weeks.

D. Germany University Preparatory Program (GUPP)

Target Group: Meant for the school leavers who at a later stage wish to further studyin Germany.

Main Objective: To visit Germany well in advance and make discoveries before making a final decision to come and study in Germany.

Programs under GUPP include the following, among others:

1. Workshops: Various workshops about Germany and the EU zone.

2. Universities Tours: Able to visit various universities to help you make decisions in your educational life.

3. Company Tours: You will visit various companies in Germany that will arouse your further study interests.

4. Educational Exchange Program (EEP): Here you are attached to fellow German students with whom you will communicate and make educational friends, and share educational, professional and cultural ideas. DLI has partner schools in Hamburg.

5. Germany Tours: You will have a series of tours of various future firms and universities in Germany for exposure.

6. Entertainment and sport: Sports and entertainment ventures within Hamburg and other various cities in Germany.

7. Tourism: Touring various cities in Germany. Germany is has a rich culture and various touristic sites to see. GUPP exposes you to all such ventures, too.

8. Group Live Skype: Taking part in our live exchange talks with our universities and partners in Germany, Ukraine, England, Poland and the USA, Morocco.........And many more!

GUPP Duration: 4 weeks GUPP Fee: €3,000.00 (Other additional fees may apply)

E. Undergraduate, Master's & P.h.D Degrees

Full / Part Time & Contact Distance Learning (CDL)

Full and Part Time: Taught in a traditional way, that is on daily basis or weekly selected days according to the program time table.

Contact Distance Learning (CDL): A very modern and easy way to attend classes in your comfort zone with full contact lectures beamed live from Germany, England, USA and other partner universities.

Implying that you can pursue our degrees from your own country without traveling to Germany.

Entry Requirements: Submit your documents based on your qualifications and our admission team will advise accordingly.

Application / Registration Fee: €500,00Tuition Fee Per Semester of 5 to 6 months: Bachelor - €5,000.00; Master's - €6,000.00; P.h.D – €7,000.00

Note: Extra partner university fees will apply according to the level of study.

Learning Processes for Contact Distance Learning (CDL)

Groups of students are assigned a Departmental Course Consultant (DCC).

Students are assigned a Students Tutorial Group (STG) of utmost 20 students.

Students will receive Research Assignments (RAs) in various areas of their course of study. Note: Each STG will have to make presentations during the contact seminars with their respective DCC.

Every month KSU and DLI will host full contact seminars and lectures at various venues in various cities in Zambia.

Full contact lecture time tables will be as follows:

1st to 4th week of the month: Self and STG research and studies.

Then 5th Week: Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday (or as advised): Full contact lectures and seminars with instructors from Europe and your country.

Thursdays & Fridays: 16:00hrs to 21:00hrs (10 hours in total)Saturdays: 09:00 to 18:00hrs (9 hours)Sundays: 12:00 to 17:00hrs (5 hours)

Full 24 intensive hours every 5th week.

The 3-year Bachelor degree certification progression:

Completion of 1st year earns you an Advanced Certificate.

Completion of 2nd semester earns you an Associate Degree

Completion of 3rd year earns you a full Bachelor Degree

The 1.5-year Master degree certification progression:

Completion of full 3 semesters earns you a full Master Degree.

Graduation Ceremonies:

Graduation ceremonies will take place in Germany, the degree issuing country and inyour country of studies.

F. Educational Exchange Program (EEP) with German Schools

This is a our department which brings together the German schools/institutions to those in Zambia, Ghana, Morocco, Ukraine, USA, England and Poland, as our member countries.

Through our EEP, the schools from the underdeveloped countries are exposed to Germany and other European Union countries. Who gets exposed? School heads, administrators, teaching staff, and the students/pupils.

Within EEP are various activities which includes the German Club(GC), Students’ Live-Skype with Germans, Touring Germany, German Language (GL) classes which prepare the students and those bound to travel to Germany on our EEP, and many more!

DLI and partners in Germany will introduce EEP in your school. Your students will have interactions with the German friends. Initially, through the live Skype. Later real tours to Germany will be organized.

The students will take part in various European debates, especially those taking place in our member country England.

Your school will appoint students who will be the DLI International Ambassadors (DIAs). These will total 8. 4 from the senior level, and the other from the junior level. The DIAs will act as students leaders between Zambia and Germany.
