ALGORITHMIC SKETCHBOOK
STUDIO AIR2014_Semester 2_Philip BeleskyNg Hann Clive_594870
Week 1 exercise basically encourages a basic understanding towards Grasshopper. A simple algorithm is given to form a square geometry. By shifting points and coordinates, different outcomes can be generated to form different designs.
EXERCISE 02
Week 2 exercise explores the chemistry between each panelling tool. By creating different surfaces from Rhino, different outcomes could be produced depending on the alteration of algorithm in Grasshopper.
Week 3 exercise allows us to understand the formation of triangulation on a curve surface. By using RMIT Building 80 as precedent, different forms of outcome are produced by altering the variation of colours. Emphasizing on ‘Cull’ tool, tasks are given to produce a 3x3 empty spaces within the design.
EXERCISE 04
In this exercise, attractor points and repulsor points have been played around to form these interesting iteration.
CONCEPTUALISATION 17
18 CONCEPTUALISATION
In this exercise, not much interesting outcomes are produced. There might be some mistakes that I have done in the definition, but everything seems working. Hmm...
22 CONCEPTUALISATION
While working on my LAGI Site design, a study focusing on ‘Cull Pattern’ and ‘Voronoi’ is generated. Outcomes are very satisfying.
DELECTED SCENES
CONCEPTUALISATION 23
A study on ‘Jitter’ and ‘Pipe’ component is being explored in Case Study 2: Reverse Engineering.
Attempt 2 which turned out to be simpler, but it is still too challenging for me to handle this organization. Thus, this design is rejected and further breakdown into final design.
