3rd July 2019

Time has flown and another semester has almost come to an end. The term will finish on Friday and Term 3 will commence on Tuesday 23rd July. I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a relaxing and safe winter break.

This week is a busy one for students and staff alike. Many teachers are out of the school at various times this week attending Professional Learning in technology, creative arts or literacy.

The 5-7 year olds had a lovely afternoon for their Athletics Carnival on Monday. Thank you to Mrs Walker for organising the afternoon. Our Year 6 leaders helped out and we appreciate those teachers allowing students to be part of the excitement.

Kindergarten will reach a 100 days milestone soon and celebrations will take place on Friday.

The Stage Band performed at the Jazz Festival over the weekend. Thank you to Mrs Hildebrandt for a weekend of opportunity for our students.

Students have been busy at the Glen St Theatre attending Sydney North Dance Festival over several nights. The last performance for our ensembles is on Friday afternoon. Thank you to all the parents for their support and to Ms Kaporis.

The Festival also runs an Art Show alongside the dancing. Congratulations to Dia M in Year 5 who represented Terrey Hills Public School at the Sydney North Public Schools Dance Festival Art Show 2019. Her artwork “Make a Move Towards Less Plastic Pollution” received the Glen St Theatre Award (Honourable Mention)

Fees adjustment Students in K-1 and some yr 2 who did not attend the sports carnival and had already paid have had this payment converted to fees in advance so it will come off your term 3 fees.

K-2 Athletics carnival K-2 had a lovely afternoon competing in many athletics events from shot put to high jump and running. This time the weather was kind and it was a great way to spend the afternoon in the last week of term.
